    Amcrest NV4432-HS-32 chanell NVR

Well, that is what I've typically done (I run BI at home, at work, and for a couple other people), but for this setup, he wants 30 4(or 8)mp cameras, at 20-30 fps, and 4 4(or 8)mp PTZ cameras. Recording full time, with as much history as possible. I've used the Amcrest cameras for a long...

New BI Server Question - with GTX1070

So, I just logged into the 64 camera server, pulled the "camera status" page up, and it says at hte bottom: 33500 kB/s and 1725MP/s at least half of the cameras there are 10 fps and below. Looking at the specs of the 8mp cameras I am looking at, it says: Main Stream...

New BI Server Question - with GTX1070

Yeah, like I said, the i7 4790k is pretty good. the other one I depolyed is an i7-8700k with 16 cameras, running 30pfs on all 16 cameras, and it is barely doing anything. I was just curious if it was worth trying to use that R710, or just get anohter 8700k or something else?

New BI Server Question - with GTX1070

OH, forgot to menion that the cameras on this server will be Amcrest 8mp cameras, 30 of them, and 4 4mp Amcrest PTZ cameras, hoping to get full FPS on them, recording 24x7

New BI Server Question - with GTX1070

I am looking at setting up a new server for a friend of mine... I have a Dell R710 with dual Xeon 5675 6core 12 thread processors, and 96g ram. I can install Windows 10 Pro on it, and I know BI will work, but wondering about encoding issues. I currently run an i7 4790k with 32g ram, and 64...

    BlueIris memory leak?

my BI install is pretty steady on memory usage, as well as CPU... 52 1080P cameras, running at 8FPS, recording 24x7 continously (Direct To Disc) Win10 Pro i7-4790k Asus z97a 32gb corsair vengence 500gb Samsung Pro ssd 2x raid 10 6tb wd red arrays I have also set up with HW Acceleration (another...

Disable IR button in BI & App

The problem is, is that there are a couple cameras in the garage, which has very little light... so when the IR is off, I get black video... I can't script when the door will be open, or closed... so yeah... I'll just have to be cautious about it :)

    BI as Monitor Viewer

So... I was developing a "camera viewer" to display a bunch of camera feeds (sub streams) on an office TV... but that became an issue with the DLL i found (has a memory leak). Anyways, I thought after spending about 5 hours coding, and researching... that for $60 I could have just bought BI...

High CPU load - on FAST system

So, this is the case here... the cameras that weren't working with HA enabled, were the SPECO O2MD2 cameras... we use quite a few of them... so I had to set them to not using the HA, and all is well. The 18 cameras that use HA, have reduced the CPU load by about 15-20%... going to play around...

Disable IR button in BI & App

Oh, I get that... that's why I came/come here to get support as well :) You guys are VERY knowledgeable, and VERY helpful... and for $60... this is by far the BEST software I have seen/used. I love it. I use it at home, and I've set it up for others as well (with no where near as many...

Disable IR button in BI & App

We have some HIK cameras, that you can turn on/off the IR with the button in BI. But, in doing that, it changes the cameras DEFAULT on/off settings, so it won't turn back on again autmatically. How can I disable the IR on/off button??

High CPU load - on FAST system

Hey Guys! I put in the raid card this morning, I have it set up with 3x-RAID0 arrays, 2x 10TB and 1x 4TB. I split up the cameras to record to 2 different "new" folders (the 3rd raid0 will be for something else). There is a reason for the Raid0, but I won't go into it on here. I didn't bother...

High CPU load - on FAST system

No, I didn't enable the hardware acceleration again... as fenderman suggested/said, i would have to restart the machine... and I didn't have a chance to do it as our tech's were supposed to be installing more cameras... so... it will have to wait til tomorrow to restart it, and try that - and I...

High CPU load - on FAST system

OH... just to put 1 more thing out there... according to Windows "Resource Monitor", I have about 100Mbps of network I/O, and a fluctuation between 40 and 110 MB/sec Disk I/O for blueiris :) And, double checking the CPU in Resource Monitor, with the console open while running as a service, BI...

High CPU load - on FAST system

Well... to continue my saga... I have changed ALL the cameras to be 8FPS (which isn't REALLY ideal, but for now... ) I am at 57% CPU (phew!) When the raid card arrives, I will be reformatting with Windows10, and we'll go from there! I enabled the NTP and the OSD now shows the time on most...

High CPU load - on FAST system

Ok... went though all the cameras, and their settings... they are mostly all set to 12FPS @2mb... and in BI, they are set to MAX FPS of 15, they are all set to Direct To Disk, and there are currently 40cameras being continuously recorded. In the Status page, i show ~15750KB/s - 730 MP/s for...

High CPU load - on FAST system

ok, I disconnected from RDP, and the server is still at 82%, with 554.5M in use... (according to the android app). Seems to be holding steady... load hasn't changed in 20 minutes.

High CPU load - on FAST system

I just re-read your message as well @bp2008 -- you suggest putting the timestamp on the camera feed itself, rather than do it from within BI's overlay? Does this reduce load? We do have our own stratus2 time server here at work... so that isn't an issue.

High CPU load - on FAST system

Ok, currently, we're at ~760 MP/s according to the BI Status page, that's with 40 cameras... (I had my numbers for what cameras were set at what FPS...) I have them set in "groups", and some cameras are part of multiple groups... is that a performance hit as well? Basically, we have 3...

High CPU load - on FAST system

First off... here are my server specs: i7-4790K (not overclocked) Asus Z97-A motherboard 32GB ram Samsung 850 Pro 500g OS/BI database drive 4x 6TB WD RED drives -- currently set to single drives, save on the first one, move to next, and then the next, and then the last... and it tails off that...

    Blue Iris Server Questions

OK. so, I've been doing some tests, I've seen 10 min files at 100MB, and 300MB... so, if I take a HUGE ball park, and make 10 minutes at 500MB, that would be upwards of 70GB per day, per camera.. 20 cameras, would be 1.4TB per day. So, if I were to store the last 2 hours, on the "new" drive...

    Blue Iris Server Questions

Ok, So I have 20 cameras, most are Speco 1920x1080, capable of 30fps (the other cameras are capable of the same as well). The current computer I am using, I can't do more than 10fps on the cameras, and the cpu is spiked at 90%+ no matter what I do, and the cameras are set to record direct to...
