Update - Was with the customer yesterday. Ended up just exporting video from two cameras of a person coming into and leaving work for a week. Basically 60 clips. Threw it on a external drive for them. Thanks for all the suggestions.

They have to make a decision fairly fast as well. In a couple days they will be overwriting days they want. I guess I could add a HD to NVR to prolong this though if it came down to it.

So I have a customer that wants me to download footage from about 15 or more cameras for 17 days! How do you even do that? If it can be done how do you calculate the size thumb drive needed? Ive only downloaded clips not full days.

I actually just emailed Hikvision to see which camera they would recommend - keep everybody posted.

As far as IR concerns. I was just wondering if a camera above would just reflect off the bills at night? Another words would you be able to identify 10, 20's etc?

Those pictures are from two domes currently installed. Yes because of the smoking the cameras do need to be cleaned more often. I did think about the mini domes but have no experience on how well the IR is on them? Hikvision makes them in 3.6 mm as well. Not a fan of fish eye lenses.

Has anyone used the Dahua's on a Hikvision NVR? Any issues? ONIV protocol?

These will be new. Nothing there currently. They want to capture the cash drawer to watch transactions. I like the darkfighters I just wish they were not so large. Smoking = private club here in PA

I changed 80 and 8000 to custom settings not sure about the others off hand. Also, if someone was accessing this NVR from outside would they be interested in changing my "live view" settings?

bababouy - You got me thinking a bit. Everything is built so cheap these days that I rarely even have wood under the aluminum caps. So drilling through the span and using all thread may be a good option. Any pics of your set ups?

Tony - I have used that set up before. Work ok but again the foot print is very small. If your fastening to something solid like plywood or similar its good. Another issue is that the pole mount adapters are made for wider poles so you have to screw them to the galvo pipe.
