Hmm...yea my brain is like scrambled eggs with what way would be the simplest and less stressful way.

The NVR I am using only has the two Lan ports on it. It has no "direct" camera ports on it. So maybe then I would have to connect the camera POE switches to the non-POE switch and segment the switch? Ugh.

Anyone familiar with this tracking device? It goes under a bunch of names like: PTZ-9000T, 15-VTK01, SED-PTZ-ATBOX. I have this tracking box working on a older PTZ camera: However I switched to another analog PTZ camera: And in doing so, I can't for the life of me getting this box to work...

Phasing out true...analog DVR's still being manufactured and in some cases can be a way in on some price points with digital technology limitation costs.

I also just picked up one of these cameras and what I did and what I do mostly with these hikvision PTZ cams is to start them up locally with the power supply connected and turn down the IR power setting or disable it in the camera setup. This will allow you to run pretty much any size gauge...

Did some further testing and found out that if I plug the camera directly into the dvr and used the hikvision-c protocol the osd menu of the camera appears. So I then hooked up a pre-made 100 foot rca cable and tried it again and nothing. Hooked up a 500 foot reel of RG59 and tried it but...

TLS would be the fix from what I have been experiencing...I have the worst time getting a hold with someone at hikvision to find out what version I need.

Tried that but still nothing. All the camera literature doesn't go into detail on how to get the menu on the screen. Is there a procedure that needs to be followed like setting the ptz protocol etc?

Hello all for the longest time now I still can't figure out how to get the OSD menu up on the Hikvision DVR I have for the UTC cameras. I saw that you need to provision the ptz or click the virtual menu button or the plus sign of the iris button...But I still can't get those menus to show up...

After messing around with the email setup...it works when it wants to. I see the alarm show but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Anyone else still having issues with this feature?

Yes you are right...I used one receiver and it works fine. I then entered a second and third but then it all failed and didn't start working for like 15min or something until I got messages back working with one. But if I test with all three email entries it will send a test message to all...

Yes...just is weird that others have different things that work but 465 smtp.yandex.com Yandex mail worked for me.

Still trying to understand what is at play here. I also had lost the smtp ability a couple of months ago with gmail. Went through all the culprits with isp port blocking, dvr settings etc. Even tried yahoo and hotmail nothing. After everything Yandex is now working and restoring the line...
