So this in-camera option is only good if you have a POE NVR, otherwise, disable it if you're using an external switch with a non-POE NVR. Makes sense - good job explaining it. :thumb: -

No wonder it’s a resource hog. Apart from bandwidth loss, I have noticed the NVR CPU temperature was about a couple degrees warmer than in AI Mode. Boy, I’m just glad I made the switch! Thanks again, Steve.- Tic

The big misconception (on my part) was ‘AI Mode‘ was the same as ‘AI by Recorder’ and when ticked would instantly ramp up CPU and bandwidth usage and I did not want that because I wanted all these AI stuff done on the camera, hence the hesitation. Worse, the words disable and global threw me off...- Tic

Ok I didn't do any of those EXCEPT the second one. I ticked 'AI Mode' and those options you mentioned earlier (AI by Recorder and AI by Camera) opened up. I proceeded to click on those IVS light bulbs for the two channels I had on IVS previously under 'AcuPick' and enabled all the check boxes...- Tic

At first I thought it goes from the camera to the NVR. Now you're saying the Smart Plan passes from the NVR to the camera. Hmmm... I just disabled Smart Plan/IVS on both cameras and the NVR and still nothing has changed. :( Last place to check would be the LAN port on the NVR, cable or the...- Tic

Well If I didn't enable Smart Plan/IVS on the recorder, how does SP/IVS on the cameras get pushed to the NVR? There must be something, NVR-side, that limits my total bandwidth to 236 Mbps and I wouldn't rule out a bug in the firmware. I just hope it doesn't get to that. I already disabled...- Tic

Appreciate the response, Steve, but there is no way I can disable AcuPick and AI Mode at the same time. On the Recorder tab (what you call it 'Local') you only get to tick one or the other -- it's basically like a toggle switch.- Tic

It sure is. That 328.8 is pretty much in line with the quoted 320. But what is very strange is that you already had AI enabled. Disabled, your total bandwidth would’ve probably gone up…at least in theory. Have you ever tried disabling it?- Tic
