I was investigating about how to reduce the num of requests on ui3 to reduce battery drain on mobile but seems difficult as it seems the session needs to be renewed quite frequently

Is it possible to enable push notifications on ui3 and have a more optimised mobile ui ? so that i can replace the android mobile app with ui3?

note that the lag seems only affecting the android app ... the video feed seems fine on desktop chrome with the reverse proxy

I have setup a reverse proxy witj nginx for ssl and I do get a performance hit on the android app... the video feed is not as smooth (low fps) as when not using the reverse proxy. Has anyone found a solution?

ok I have been reading a bit more on these region locked/hacked dahua cameras. Apart from not being able to upgrade them, what are the other disadvantages? If you are not connecting the cameras to the internet, this should not be a problem right?

Can dahua chinese locked/hacked cameras be upgraded with newest chinese firmware? I know you can't upgrade them with an international/english firmware as it will end up into a brick.

I have installed transcend 32gb sd card on my ip camera and set recording to local but I have nothing in the playback tab on the web ui (also tried smartpss) .... I have tried formatting the sd card too... I can see the size of the sd card changing but nothing in playback tab...

One of my friend who owns a shop needs a camera to be able to monitor/record cash payments between him and his customers. The camera must be good enough to be able to zoom in and identify the cash notes. Any recommendation? Was planning to install the camera on a blueiris pc for him.

what about setting up a dummy smtp server on the blueiris machine. Then have Dahua IVS send alert to that smtp server with the latter calling blueiris trigger via the blueiris api. I have made a quick test and seems to work but not sure about the delays involved.

Ok yup that's what I thought. Nvidia acceleration is pretty useless... Dunno if this gonna change with future updates.
