just got home starting my computer and clicked on Blue Iris icon and got this

Looks like the antivirus was causing the problem. On Windows 11 I went to SETTINGS-Privacy and Security-Windows Security-Virus & Threat Protection-Exclusions, add or remove exclusion. Then add the BlueIrisADMIN.exe file from your program director.

Delay taking of Alert Clips being sent via text message

Thanks. Much better. I got rid of hotspots and set up a Zone A and B with zone crossing. I am concerned that the bush shadows will cross zones when blowing. Which is why I had it originally as a hot zone in the top right where bush shadows did not show. Zone A is now that zone with Zone B in...

Delay taking of Alert Clips being sent via text message

How to a delay the taking of the clip/photo? I have my BI set up to text me a photo when some walks up to my front door.. The problem is that it takes the clip (photo) before the person is fully in the photo. I am unable to use ALERTs-Timer: Wait until trigger at least due to the problem with...

    Amazon Echo keeps disconnecting

The Echo keeps disconnecting from Blue Iris. I use the "echo, turn on blue ray to XX" to quickly change profiles. I am not sure what is causing the disconnection. I know it is not restarting the program. I am always able to reconnect by going through the setups.

Do you know where I get the 4.7.6.2 (June 11) update? I cannot find the thread.

Clip Storage Allocation showing '?' on LOCAL disks

Thanks Fenderman. I will try those threads. In the meantime, I found an November 17 Blue Iris 4.6.4.12 full install on my system (it was on an older computer before I got this one). That fixed the problem. I only hope that Blue Iris support fixes the problem and I can at least continue to do...

Clip Storage Allocation showing '?' on LOCAL disks

I cannot find an older update on the Blue Iris web site and, alas, I did not copy an older update - as mine was set to "automate download and install" Per suggestion, above, I will now start downloading from the web site and also save the older file. I guess I can uninstall the program and...

Clip Storage Allocation showing '?' on LOCAL disks

Same issue, just downloaded the update 4.7.6.3 and now it is not showing the C drive in the Blue Iris Status window. As such, I am unable to record. Is their an option to revert back? I recently exported my setting, which means I could just reinstall Blue Iris and then import the settings.

where are you guys finding i7-6700 Dells under 500?

Isn't RAM speed important? I see alot of these I-7 CPUs with good prices but DDR3 ram. DDR4 is much faster 1600 (ish) vs 2100 mz. Do not get me wrong, if you can get an I7 for under $500, that is a good deal. But I notice some of these good I7 deals have DDR3 ram speeds. Perhaps BI doesn't...

CPU running at between 96 and 100% all day

Agree, I checked Amazon and Best Buy. Amazon came closet at $500, without monitor at the time, and I believed it might have been refurbished and possible an older model. A new exact model, Pavilion 500 now sells for $529. I was going to upgrade one of my older computers, but after a new video...

CPU running at between 96 and 100% all day

I am going to wait and see if the H.262 Intel Hardware Decoding option turning on (without VPP) works. Again, it caused problems with clip recording before (but I not sure if the VPP was also on at those times). However, moving the new 4.1 mb camera direct to disc seem to be the biggest help...

CPU running at between 96 and 100% all day

it was $799 without monitor on HP website when I checked it months ago. They now sell for about $699 on their website. However mine has 12 mg RAM the $699 has 8mg, but perhaps a better video card. Mine is a intel 530 chip (cheap).

CPU running at between 96 and 100% all day

However, with your help and this forum, I was able to get my cpu usage down to 35 percent vs the 85 percent. I can no longer hear the cpu fine whining. I think this is a success?

CPU running at between 96 and 100% all day

It might have something to do with the resolution/mb. The 1.2(960) camera along uses 2percent CPU, 2.1 mg (1080) usees 9 percent, 4.1 (1520) 15 percent. I bet if I put them all down to 960 I might get 15-20 cpu usage. However, the computer is a stand alone and does runs nothing else. It was a...

I moved all the cameras down to 20 fps, not much change in CPU - now it is about 35 percent.

CPU running at between 96 and 100% all day

Note: I do have high frame rates. The two 4.1mb cameras are running 20fps, one 2.1 is 25 fps, one 2.1 at 30fps and the 1.2 is 20 fps. I prefer high frame rate to stop motion/lagg affect. These frame rates tend to work. However, I can set some slightly lower.

CPU running at between 96 and 100% all day

Latest intel drives (updated by HP) Turned on hardware acceleration (no vpp) and cpu usage averages 40 percent. Not sure yet it this will affect motion detect video - as last times I changed hardware acceleration it created havoc with motion detection clips - program would sometimes lock up when...

I have an HP with I-5 6400 cpu, 12gb RAM, blue iris version 4.5.3.0 x64. I am running 5 cameras -two at 4.1, two at 2.1 and one at 1.2mb. I was running an average of 85 percent CPU usage. I was able to get it down to 50 average percent by: 1) changing all cameras to Video-direct (camera...
