Thoughts on new DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3 4MP PTZ?

I didn't pay for any additional warranty when I bought it, but purchases of that camera (maybe all Hikvision cameras bought there, but I'm not sure of that) from B&H have their warranty processed through B&H. I just called them with my original order numbers (each camera was purchased on...

Thoughts on new DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3 4MP PTZ?

I just got TWO (out of two that I bought from B&H for $95 each) of mine back from warranty repair due to water inside of them. They had lasted about 4 months. One was generally exposed to the elements, while the other was at least 8" away from the roof line. Died within two weeks of one...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

When I look at the available settings (many of which have no explanation as to their meaning and I can't find an online manual that describes them), I see (ignoring the things that obviously don't apply, like encryption, storage and time settings): Answer Doorbell Call (can be "on" or "off")...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I have the LaView ONE Haol (LV-PDB1630-U). Is there a way to disable the beeping sound that the doorbell generates every time someone walks past it? Our lake house entry door is on the side of the house along a decked walkway. That walkway continues past the door to the back deck and stairs...

Hikvision Mini-Dome Conduit Base -- Make Your Own

Thanks!! I knew about the second one (assuming that is "WML" as listed in the accessories list of their PDF document), but I had a very bad impression of getting one from them of this design for one of their larger cameras -- it fit very poorly and loosely and did not provide the weather...

Hikvision Mini-Dome Conduit Base -- Make Your Own

I'm not sure what it is called, but the camera's ethernet connector (female) has a twist-on cover built in, and came with the other side of the twist-on (slipped over the end of the cable before you put the male connector on it), so, once you connect the RJ45 together, these "cover" pieces twist...

Hikvision Mini-Dome Conduit Base -- Make Your Own

BTW, I had considered putting a 6x6" "rubber packing" gasket from the plumbing or electrical department at Lowe's between the camera base and the box. Of course, I would have to cut about a 1" dia hole for the pigtail, and I'd trim it to a circle for best appearance. That would make it all...

Hikvision Mini-Dome Conduit Base -- Make Your Own

Hi! Thanks for checking it out and for the comments. It isn't your imagination as to the top-right corner. I actually noticed it myself when posting the photos and went and tightened both top corners. And, yes, the gasket does bulge out a minor bit on that spot. I don't know why, but all the...

Hikvision Mini-Dome Conduit Base -- Make Your Own

Yeah, that might fit ok. I think Hikvision sells a similar design. I know I bought one of that design for one of their larger cameras and it is poorly designed and poorly fit (the camera remains loosely in it), even though recommended for the camera I got it for. Love most of the Hikvision...

Hikvision Mini-Dome Conduit Base -- Make Your Own

Does that Honeywell mount have holes that align with the Hikvision mini-dome models I mentioned? On these Hikvision cameras, the cable bundle is not in the center of the camera base, but less than an inch from the outer edge -- would these be routable? If so, this mount looks pretty good. Thanks!

Hikvision Mini-Dome Conduit Base -- Make Your Own

I have a total of four Hikvision mini-dome cameras (models DS-2CD2543G0-IS [aka IPCam IPCT-HDBW4432F-IS], DS-2CD2563GO-IS). All are wall mounted outdoors, though generally shielded from the rain. The difficulty with these cameras is that they have a non-optional cable bundle (ethernet, audio...

    Any feedback on the DS-2CD4565F

I know this is an old thread, but I couldn't pass up getting these new-in-box Hikvision DS-2CD4565-IZH cameras for only $98 from B&H Photo. I know they are discontinued, but at that price (and not needing to buy a conduit base), they seemed like a great deal. They have arrived within 8 days of...

Thoughts on new DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3 4MP PTZ?

When I go to that link, and click on "Firmware Download", it gives me a file named "IPD_R7_EN_STD_5.6.0_190128.zip", which contains a "digicap.dav" dated 28 Jan 2019. That version (5.6.0) is older than the version currently on my camera (5.6.11) and the date (190128) is older than the date on...

Thoughts on new DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3 4MP PTZ?

Those are the exact versions that my camera shows (purchased from B&H Photo back in September). Is it safe to upgrade further to those in the archives referred to above (those are marked "Netherlands" at the top of the page)?

Where to buy another IPCamTalk HDBW4432F-IS?

I bought (from Amazon) the "IP Cam Talk 4 MP IR Fixed Mini Dome Network Camera, 2.8mm, IPCT-HDBW4432F-IS" a few months ago and it would be perfect in two more places for me. But it is no longer available at Amazon. Is there another place to buy this (or its equivalent or its replacement)...

I am happy to get a teamviewer session going, if that is how you can assist in this! At the moment, I am at the lake house (where the camera is), and not at home (where BI is installed). So, if you set up teamviewer to my laptop (the one I am using now), it would be easy to see that VLC isn't...

Mike, that is exactly the way I had it originally (as the "Inspect" process left it, though I then edited the "102" in). That fails exactly as it does when forcing "rtsp" as in the screen image I included.

BlueIris using substream of IPCamTalk IPCT-HDBW4432F

Yes ... no difference Here it is: As it wasn't working, I tried forcing the "rtsp:/" and putting the path into the URL (all as shown above) to eliminate any differences between the URL that works in VLC and fails in BI. If I change the above from "102" to "101" or "1", it works (showing...

Sorry, I had misunderstood your earlier post to suggest that he had posted (somewhere on the forums) something about using VLC to test cameras. Now I understand that you were suggesting that I try VLC, but pointing to the stream that he had referenced. So, I did as you suggested. VLC works...

Thanks. I'm fairly new to using this forum, so I don't know all the functions, but is there an easy way to find the post you referenced? I just scanned 7 pages of his posts (from his profile) and none are obviously about VLC. Is there a way to search for author + topic?

BlueIris using substream of IPCamTalk IPCT-HDBW4432F

Can you tell me which settings you want me to post (or if there is a way to simply export them all to show what you want to see)? As I wrote above, without changing any setting other than "Path": /Streaming/Channels/1 <<< works, giving me a view of the main stream /Streaming/Channels/2 <<<...

BlueIris using substream of IPCamTalk IPCT-HDBW4432F

Yes, I can access it when viewing the Live image, by clicking on the "2" in the drop down. The URL at the top of the page doesn't change when switching between the streams, so it isn't obvious to me how to specify the channel in BI.

BlueIris using substream of IPCamTalk IPCT-HDBW4432F

I know everyone is busy, but I bought the IPCAM camera knowing it would get support on the forum. My question is over 11 days old -- what is the proper way (e.g. specific topic/forum or email address, or site) to get the support answer? Thanks!
  29. Craig Conrad

BlueIris using substream of IPCamTalk IPCT-HDBW4432F

Mike, this doesn't work for me. I only get "No Signal", if I set path to "/Streaming/Channels/1" (note only one "/"), I connect fine on main channel. If I only change the "1" to a "2", then no signal.
