Has anyone successfully connected the doorbell chime to a zwave or other sensor?

I tried using Wireshark to monitor doorbell traffic on my network but I think I need a tutorial. The only time I could see anything filtering by the doorbell IP was when I pinged the doorbell or opened the RTSP stream on my laptop. Couldn’t see anything on pressing the doorbell button.

Anybody try to read doorbell presses for integration with home automation? I think the usb chime is 433mhz so I guess you could sniff that. I wonder if there’s an API.

I use an alarmdecoder usb to connect my Vista 20p to HomeAssistant. Installed last week and it’s been solid so far. Works great.

I just installed the magnet type on our fiberglass casement windows. They work great. Used 3M double sided tape on the magnets. I might glue them at some point in the future but they work now.

Does anybody else have low quality image when the sun is shining directly at the camera? See below for two separate camera angles at the same time of day.
