Dahua day/night switch utility - DahuaSunriseSunset

Nice stuff BP2008! The only problem that I'm experiencing is that the sunrise/sunset times are the wrong way around. (The Netherlands) For now I've setup my "Day settings" in the "Night profile" and vice versa.

Indeed like beingaware says with FFMPEG. This is my commandline: ffmpeg.exe -rtsp_transport tcp -stimeout 3600000 -i "rtsp://username:yourpassword@192.168.1.xx/" -c:v copy -c:a aac -async 1 -f flv "rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2/yourstreamkey" For the overlay I'm using cURL. It is posting at...

I'm using the build-in Profile Time Schedule option. That makes it possible to use a separate Day and Night profile. So it's no Rocket Science ;)

At the moment WDR is off. I have tried it, but that time it overcompensated. I might have to try lower WDR levels.

Here you can see how my 5231 performs: Wind Turbine Live Camera - Zeewolde, The Netherlands - YouTube Between 5:00 and 22:00 Shutter time is set to 1/3. Like wxman said, when the clouds are much lighter then ground level, it compensates too much. At least that's better then frying the sensor.

not my video: live feed from wind tower

Only time scheduled seems to be possible at the moment. Or am I wrong? It's not ideal because of the changing sunset and sunrise times.

not my video: live feed from wind tower

The wind direction forecast looks kinda boring for next weeks  Last night I've played around with Manual Exposure settings. You have to go below 15fps to get huge improvements. At the moment it's not possible to switch Day/Night profile automatically. In another topic someone...

not my video: live feed from wind tower

This is indeed my camera! My ISP seems to be having problems lately, that's why it could be down. I might edit the Night profile to manual exposure, to catch more light. I'm not really familiar with Exposure settings. I have three options "Gain priority", "Shutter priority" and manual. Would...

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Bullet (IPC-HFW5231E-Z)

Great! I'm curious if they can add it in the future.

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Bullet (IPC-HFW5231E-Z)

Today I experimentally loaded the NTSC firmware instead of the PAL version. The fluency on the NTSC version is way better! An I Frame every two seconds is enough now. I still feel a bit ripped off, that the third substream does not support 1080p. (like they suggest in the specifications) That...

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Bullet (IPC-HFW5231E-Z)

For that I'm using cURL like this: curl.exe -u admin:supersecretpassword --anyauth -g "http://192.168.1.xx/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&VideoWidget[0].CustomTitle[1].Text=Line1|Line2|Line3" You can use the http link in your browser to test if it works. It should ask for your...

I'm also using ffmpeg. My video parameter is -vcodec copy. Then it's probably not transcoding. The fluency of your stream is superb! Wich parameters are you using for video in ffmpeg?

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Bullet (IPC-HFW5231E-Z)

It seems to be better. I will keep it at 8Mbps, let's see if my ISP get's angry with me haha! Youtube is probably lowering it to 3-4Mbps..

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Bullet (IPC-HFW5231E-Z)

It's worth a try. I've set it to 8Mbps and 30 I frame rate now. That's over 110Gb's per day, my ISP is probably in tears now..

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Bullet (IPC-HFW5231E-Z)

I've mounted the IPC-HFW5231EP-Z on a wind turbine. I'm pretty happy about the image quality. For daylight 4mp would have been better, but night vision also had priority. Wind Turbine Live Camera - Zeewolde, The Netherlands - YouTube The only thing that could be better is the Fluency. I've...
