Yes warranty replacement, and its working now. It did take about 30-40 days to receive it back. I shipped it with the power supply, and it was returned to me without a power supply. So it took an extra 30 days to get a power supply back then.

Tried pushing that button both while the system is powered on, and with it powered off. Tried holding it in for long time ago. No changes. Could you give more detail on jumpering the two vias/holes at J10? Not sure what area you mean, and not sure what exactly you want me to do there.

Don't have a voltmeter to test it...but I doubt it's the power supply otherwise the screen would be black and the fan wouldn't even turn on right? Is the battery the yellow circle in the bottom right of the picture? I tried to take it off but it seems glued on

@Shockwave199 Here's a picture of the inside...the hard drive is disconnected, but I don't see ANY connections besides the fan.

I'm not sure...but I tried factory resetting my router and still same issue without using any port forwarding.

The NVR fan does work. It has an external power brick, so there's nothing to disconnect from the board. Did try unplugging all USB, still no luck. The camera's IR is not working, so the NVR isn't booting the cameras up it seems like.

Can you clarify on how to do that? My setup is Modem>Router>NVR>POE cameras. Going to 192.168.1.108 is not working like it was before, it times out, and in my router settings the NVR does not show under "Attached Devices" like it used to.

@mat200 This is the ONLY screen that comes up now on bootup, and it stays on this screen forever. It does not connect to 192.168.1.108 anymore like it used it. Problem started yesterday. I made no changes and did no firmware updates recently.

Went to check my cameras today and they don't connect... So I just plugged a monitor directly into my Dahua NVR (4108-8P-2KS2) and it won't boot up past the boot up screen. What do I do? I've tried unplugging the hard drive, and same problem

Hi Andy, I think my NVR is broken that I bought from you. NVR4108-8P-4KS2. When I turn it on, it does not go past the Dahua Technology logo screen. Please see picture here: https://i.imgur.com/ofBrBMk.jpg

The Toolbox Convert Tool finally worked for me and I have a viewable .avi now! Thank you all.

My DAV was deleted from the NVR since I only record 30 days of history. It's only on my computer hard drive now.

Already tried SmartPlayer. Doesn't work. I load the DAV file into it and it just says "Loading..." forever.

Installed toolbox, then I click "install" for Convert Tool and it keeps failing. I'm really starting to regret buying Dahua cameras and NVR. Their software is garbage and apparently there's no way to convert this DAV so a different computer can view it!

It's been "Loading" for 5 minutes... it loads instantly in SmartPSS though. Sigh. Is there really no way to convert dav to avi? How am I going to show this file in court? I don't have a laptop. I planned on bringing a flash drive with the file.

Step 1 on that link doesn't even work...It's a corrupted zip file if you try to unzip it.

The new camera is on firmware Version: 2.460.0000.9.R. 2017-04-28 which is not on Dahua's website or listed anywhere, I think I'm the first person with it. The old camera with this same problem was on the March 6th firmware version that's on Dahua website, and 1st post of this thread.
