wondering about how to setup my ip cam to record to my own cloud

Can you "see" your camera using BlueIris? (Try the free demo.) If so, open "options" select "clips and archiving" and change the drive letter to your cloud drive - just make sure you create the same folder structure off the root of the cloud drive. (x:\BlueIris\db and x:\BlueIris\New) I...

    Automtic export/backup of new clips

My question is similar but simpler, I think. I just want to (automatically) ftp the .bvr clips to an off site location. [I can convert them later if needed...]I feel I have the "motion detection" process working for me and the clips are fine. I have enabled BI ftp transfer as well as email...

TMobile Hotspot ZTE 4G Mf64 - Port forwarding help needed.

TMobile Hotspot ZTE 4G Mf64 - Port forwarding help needed. Yes, I know that port forwarding is old school and frowned upon today, I need to do this as a simple solution for a short term (temporary) installation. I am using Blue Iris and want to have (www) remote access and remote control...

Monitor 2 Locations with 1 BI installation?

Thanks for all the assistance!!! There is little in life more exhilarating than a steep learning curve! Getting my practice field ready. My home router is Netgear Nighthawk R7000. It seems to have a VPN capability. Also, about a block away from my home is an office system that I maintain...

Monitor 2 Locations with 1 BI installation?

looney2ns & crw030: Thanks for the responses. Being somewhat lazy and thoroughly retired, I was hoping for a simple(er) solution... Looney2ns - thanks for the reading materials. crw030 - I appreciate all the step by step details. Looks like I now have an opportunity to learn just what VPN means.

I have a 2 camera system running smoothly on my home dedicated PC system using 192.168.xxx.yyy camera addresses. Can I/how can I cause this installation of BI to connect to 2 other cameras at my vacation home 450 miles away using their external ip address (172.223.xxx.yyy:port)? I have high...

    Android App?

I see a BI android app is available. I want to use it on both my phone and a tablet. Do I need to purchase this for each, or can one purchased copy be used on both - at the same time? Also, is there a good/better alternative for this android app?

Thanks!! Done. The second camera had settings of 25 and iframe of 50. I set this iframe to 25 to match. Now to wait for some real life triggers.

    Motion Detection help

Motion Detection: Maybe I am looking for too much. I want to set BI to record the few seconds of video that occured just before the triggered event. Initial BI install seems to start recording the clip a few seconds after the first motion occurs which results in missing the initial video...

360 DEGREE FISHEYE VR CAMERA - 1.3MP WIFI YOOSEE with BI

I fully agree with your approach. Having run into second hand cameras that had been set to a fixed ip, I was forced to learn this. Most low end (cheap) cameras do not have a hardware reset. (Off topic for sure...What part of Alabama? I'm in Bham...)

360 DEGREE FISHEYE VR CAMERA - 1.3MP WIFI YOOSEE with BI

If the camera's ip address is set to 192.168.0.xx, and your router is set to assign (and see) addresses in the 192.168.1.xx range, the router will never see the camera...(Off the original topic, somewhat, maybe, but close...)

360 DEGREE FISHEYE VR CAMERA - 1.3MP WIFI YOOSEE with BI

How I find an unknown ip address... Try a (free, I think) program called "Wire Shark" (Wireshark · Go Deep.). This pgm has way more capability than I ever use. Just set a stand alone laptop to 192.168.1.11/255.255.255.0; disable wifi; and connect directly (no twist) to the unknown...

    V380 software

Donald - as the kids say today, "I feel ya". In my 60+ years of playing in electronics, I have found that price does not always equal quality. I recently acquired a couple of the low-end ($20.) cameras that use this V380 software and find them to work fine. It did take some trial and...
