    CPU Usage Issues

Avg sucks anyway, but you can keep it if you exclude the bi directories and files as noted in the bi instructions under networking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    CPU Usage Issues

I was told by the camera bi God on here that it did...so I turned them off along with the other changes. At a minimum it reduces network traffic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Second viewing station for under $50!

I use 2 open mesh access points and have no issues with wifi bandwidth. I run 3 iPads and several other regular devices (laptops, iPhones, smart tvs,3 Alexa/echos, etc) (MR1750 Dual Band 802.11ac Access Point - Access Points - Store) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Question regarding cat cable

Good luck with that if your cameras have IR. Most cams need 48v poe, and if youre dividing the output you may not have enough power for IR at night. Not sure thats the best idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Question regarding cat cable

Then you'll need to run another cable. You can't split poe or Ethernet without a switch. A hub won't work if you're using it for video feeds and it doesn't pass POE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Question regarding cat cable

Perhaps a small poe switch? Provided you have power and a place to mount it out of the weather. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Second viewing station for under $50!

Seems like they were around $120-140 ea. Then the wall mount case, which I don't recall how much those were. I have two wall mounted and one table top with a different enclosure. I also use my iPads for home automation control, (homeseer HS3Touch) so I do screen pops based on camera motion...

Second viewing station for under $50!

I just use iPads wall mounted and display the allcams.htm webpage. This allows touch expand of camera window. Much smaller footprint and gives a more "built in" look. You can get older iPads on groupon pretty cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    CPU Usage Issues

In the startup tab in settings of bi there's a checkbox "run as service". It that's checked, then bi starts when the computer boots and runs in the background as long as the pc is on. If it's not checked you have to open BI admin to start blue iris, and if you close (exit) bi admin, blue iris...

    CPU Usage Issues

As a follow up to my earlier response, after all the changes, reboot the pc and then load bi. That should drop you down to 40% or lower CPU and around 1-2 gig of memory. Your hardware is more than sufficient. I wouldn't add a video card. I'm using an i5 with built in vc and have no issues now...

    CPU Usage Issues

I had a similar issue, but changing direct to disk in bi, reducing the frame rate and using h264 over Mjpeg and turning off any sub streams from the camera dropped me down to about 28% on 9 cameras. Other tips: 1. Make sure the machine is dedicated only to BI. 2. If you're running bi as a...

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

Finally got it to work. I'm down to 30-35% CPU now. Thanks for your help. Is there really a benefit to upgrading to windows 10 on this box?

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

Disabled hardware acceleration, disabled service, set camera to rtsp and no video. I'm only following the directions I've seen in this post. Been running BI for over a year, but never paid attention to CPU until recently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

I just lose video if i select h.264 or use any of the dahua options in BI. If i change the bit rate to 4096 on mJpeg the picture is so grainy you can't see it.

Blue iris and CPU consumption as it relates to memory usage

All, I have followed the advice in this thread on reducing CPU utilization while running BlueIris and still my box averages 82 or higher when the BI Admin console is open (Averages 66-78% with just the BI service running in the background and no windows/browser/apps running) I have the...
