Does anyone know if these be used to replace a current 5231-Z12E and capture license plates without OpenALPR? I wasn't sure if they came with onboard software or what could take care of the processing and storage of plates.

Something strange is going on with my setup then. I've removed all of my blocks and only added the allow port from the cam net to port 123 on the pfsense IP. Not a damn thing seems to go through. I keep getting default denies. Guess I will spend tomorrow troubleshooting.

I’ve got an allow rule for the cams to reach only the pfSense port 123. All other access is blocked. So you have ntp setup on pfSense also? If so, could I see your rules?

I see requests in the logs that are being denied from the firewall (pfsense). I do not see any requests being made to the ntp server which is also pfsense, so that is odd to me and probably the issue if I had to guess. However, I did go through and double check all of the ntp settings in the...

I am trying to run CP AI on a separate machine than by BI. I've got 2 main problems at the moment. 1) I do not show any plates whatsoever. I only see DayPlate and NightPlate. 2) If I try to read a plate image, it only works very slow on CPU, not on GPU. I always get 'No predictions returned.'...

Agreed. But I’ve not found a solution that is as accurate just yet unfortunately.

Every word of this. I have done this multiple times for our neighborhood, and even looked up plates for situations that have happened outside of our neighborhood. The police just wanted to see if we had any footage of the vehicle(s) entering our neighborhood to see if we caught their plate, etc..

No luck on that. I was able to choose the custom models folder before upgrading blue iris but cannot do so now.

Right. I've got local PD asking for my setup right now too due to mail, package, and vehicle item theft. I'm waiting on this release to test before sending them the info. This would definitely keep me busy during all the snow :D
