    Disk not ready

My blue iris works great, but once a day or a little less than that, I get a “disk not ready” error. I was going to try reformatting the disk, but I don’t know which is the offending disk. Is there somewhere I could see which hard drive that blue iris is complaining about? Thanks, Jeff

Where is a trustworthy source for hikvision nvr?

I would like to purchase a hikvision nvr, but am unsure of where to get it one from. I have had frustrating experiences with AliExpress, newegg, and amazon. Often they say they have stock and a week after the order they say they don’t anymore. It is replacement, so I would like to stick with...

    Hikvision nvr stopped working

I don’t get a beep or the logo. I think the power supply is fine, because the fans run, I can hear the hard drives run up, and there is a red light that comes on, on the board.

    Hikvision nvr stopped working

I have a hikvision nvr ds-7608ni-i2/8p nvr. Everything was working great, then all of a sudden it stopped working. The power supply runs fine, but i can’t access it locally or remotely. Nothing shows on the screen locally. There were no power outages, and it always runs on a ups. Is it dead...

Blue iris crashing after a couple seconds

I had a power failure today, and while the power was out, I hooked it up to a ups. I have had blue iris running on a new server flawlessly for two weeks now, but after the power came back on, blue iris crashes within a couple seconds of starting up. It will boot into the GUI, and everything is...

H.264 vs H.265 in blue iris

I just put together a blue iris server for the first time. I tried searching about this, but I need some clarification. From what I understand, the following is true. Blue iris runs h.264 with hardware acceleration, and it runs h.265 without hardware acceleration. So if that is true, I would...

    Hard drive strategy

Thanks fenderman. I am just building my server, and haven’t installed blue iris yet. I will install in a day or two and read the help files. I was just wondering how it would use the hard drives. I guess it makes sense to equal the MP of the cameras among the hard drives.

    Hard drive strategy

Sorry if this has already been covered, I couldn’t seem to find an answer with searches. I am excited to put together a blue iris server. I have two other camera installations with a hikvision nvr. With the hikvision nvrs, it will just use all the hard drives in the system seamlessly. I have...

    32 channel NVR newbie question

Thanks for all your help. So the cameras that are plugged directly into the NVR will be given ip addresses from the NVR, but the cameras connected to the POE switch will be placed on my network which will have a different subnet. How does this work?

    32 channel NVR newbie question

So I wouldn't connect the POE switch to the POE ports on the NVR, but to the same switch that I connect my NVR to the network? Will the NVR still automatically find the cameras, or do I need to add them manually? I bought the 32 channel NVR to have more flexibility, but I will only have about...

    32 channel NVR newbie question

Hi there, I purchased a Hikvision 7732NI-I4/16P 32CH NVR for my workplace. I haven't received it yet, but from what I understand, this unit allows 32 channels, but only has 16 ports. Do I get a POE switch and connect one of the ports to it to expand it? I thought I could find my answer in a...
