Good idea, but unfortunately the same result. Is there a way to tftp or ftp the upgrade image, but still have it verified before it loads it? ie, don't want to brick the NVR.

Yes, rebooted to start with, and using the straight digicap.dav from inside the zip file.

Unfortunately the USA version has the same problem. Attempted both via web interface & directly on the console. Have attached copies of the error messages from both.

Not tried as yet. I'm just a few 100' km away from the unit and if it doesn't come back would prefer it not to be offline until I can get there to the console.

I figure trying to upgrade to 4.x is probably best done when I am near the unit. I'll give it a try once I am back in the place in a couple of days time. Thanks for the suggestion about Hik USA site.

Maybe I am missing it but I can't see any NVR firmware on that Australian site link. I was sure I got to the 3.4.95 I loaded previously via the European site but might not be remembering correctly. I'm having an issue with 3.4.95 so even getting 3.4.96 loaded would be useful.

Quick note to say I managed to upgrade a 2732 camera as well. Thankyou all for the easy & clear instructions. Hey, is there any way to change the Serial Number on the units? Would be nice to get rid of the CH in there :-) Not a big issue though.

Thank you for the confirmation. The change worked well on a 2032 & 2132. I needed to do the mtdblock1 change so likely they were 5.2.8 originally. Next to tackle is a 2732....
