    Honeywell self monitoring and vpn

The vista has been my second choice for that reason. I was hoping for some kind of similar solution with the lyric. Do you have any opinions of one system over the other? Any other system suggestions?

    Honeywell self monitoring and vpn

I've been researching alarms and I'm interested in the honeywell lyric. I'm not interested in paying a monthly fee. Can I self monitor the lyric through my vpn with the honeywell my home controller app? Is there any way to self monitor the lyric without paying monthly?

    VPN access

That was it, thanks! It still worked until I disabled easy4ip on my NVR as well. Completed with the setup and now everything is working well.

    VPN access

I setup gDMSS lite on my phone and connected to my dahua nvr to access my cameras. To my knowledge I did not forward any ports, unless that's done automatically through the gdmss setup. This worked, but it was only to try the cameras out as I knew from reading here I need to secure everything...

    Dahua channel change

I tried deleting as re adding, but never rebooted. That probably would have done it. I found a YouTube earlier today that suggested going to "system" then "default", unchecking all the boxes aside from "camera" and pressing apply. That straightened everything out. Thanks!

    Dahua channel change

I was tinkering last night and saw that I can connect individually to 2 out of my 3 dahua cameras through my dahua NVR5216. A nice feature that allows some of the finer settings not available through the nvr itself. I was able to delete and add the third camera, and then was able to connect to...

    Lens fog

So far still good 4 days later, not even a little bit of fog. I'm pretty confident that the cause of the issue was the lack of silica packets, and adding them was the solution.

    Lens fog

Sounds exactly like mine, under an eve, and received and installed recently. I reopened mine a few days ago to add a silica packet. I only had an older packet to put in, but it mostly solved the problem, still a bit of fog. Yesterday I received my shipment of silica packets, today I put 3 new...

    Lens fog

How bad was the condensation build up? I'm surprised 4 weeks would have ruined it.

    Lens fog

In my case, my camera is less then a week old and I never opened it and the fog occurred. I only opened it after to try and correct the problem and inspect the gasket. I'm using the waterproof rj45 connector as well. I think my next move is to put in a dessicant bag. I haven't opened the...

    Lens fog

It's definitely on the inside. I've used a hair dryer to clear it up, but it' only a temporary solution.

    Lens fog

I've been reading and researching for awhile now and decided on a dahua ipc hdw5830r-z and a starlight 5231. The starlight lens is perfect, the 5830 fogs up inside the camera. I've attached pictures to show before and after fog. I've tried opening the camera, cleaning and lubricating the...
