    Mini-Review - 5442-ZE-S3 AKA T54IR-ZE-S3 - Replacement to 5442-ZE

Is anyone able to advise why I am suddenly not getting any live view, or any camera view whether in the camera settings or IVS settings. Has been working perfectly, but when logging in on my PC tonight, there is no view from the camera. I have logged out several times and also re-booted the...

    Mini-Review - 5442-ZE-S3 AKA T54IR-ZE-S3 - Replacement to 5442-ZE

Thanks for your quick reply. Attached are my current Night Profile settings. There is another one for day time. As mentioned, even though the camera switches to Night Profile at dusk, it seems if the camera can't decide whether to be in colour or black & white and will switch back and forth...

    Mini-Review - 5442-ZE-S3 AKA T54IR-ZE-S3 - Replacement to 5442-ZE

Just received this camera from Empiretecandy last Friday and set it up with the recommended setting (from Wittaj?) and so far I have to say that I am very impressed with it, particularly the night vision. Additionally, I have set up a simple tripwire as my main alert, and it has not given any...

    Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-HDW5849H-ASE-LED / IPC-Color4K-T - 2.8mm Turret

Can't find it in the stats for the camera, but does anyone know the power consumption in Watts for the LED lights at 100%? Are the lights powered over PoE or does it need a separate power supply?

    Email Alert Frustration

... and now it doesn't work. Microsoft/Outlook keeps blocking my account as it thinks there is suspicious activity going on. Even though I have unblocked my account for the time being, a test email then fails. I'm going to have to look for another alternative SMTP provider.

    Email Alert Frustration

I've never used app passwords before, but I've gone through the process and generated a 16 character password for my ip camera. On the SMTP settings I have completed the Gmail SMTP settings, put my user name and the new 16 character password in, along with the other credentials; sender...

    Email Alert Frustration

Hi. I am unable to get email alerts from my IPC-HDW5231R-ZE. I have recently changed my ISP and now no longer able to use their SMTP server, and my new ISP is just a fibre broadband service. So, I went back to using my Gmail account and when I input the details (correctly) and hit test, it...

    Email Alerts Have Stopped

Thanks for your reply. How else could I get alerts for a triggered event. My camera records everything to my Synloogy NAS using Surveillance Station. Could that be set up to send me alerts. If not, what other method could I use.

    Email Alerts Have Stopped

I have been attempting to get emails alerts working again but without success. The emails were being sent via my ISP's smtp server and until yesterday I had not had any problems at all. I logged in to their webmail portal, and there was nothing to suggest anything was blocked. All folders...

    Email Alerts Have Stopped

I receive my emails on my gmail account. However, I have only used 5GB of my allocated 15GB. I use my ISP's email service as the sender via their SMTP server and up until today, everything was working fine. I don't ever check their webmail portal. I wonder if my sent folder is completely full?

    Email Alerts Have Stopped

Hi, I hope you can help. I have a Dahua IPC-HDW5231ZE. Not sure if that model is completely correct, but it's a 2MP Starlight model. I noticed earlier today, that I was not getting email alerts when the mailman came or any other visitor to the door. I checked the email SMTP settings and...

Network Problem since Setting up Dual Router

Got my HDW5231R-ZE two weeks ago, got it all set up and working very nicely. Still need to make a few tweeks though. Anyway, I wanted to have my network behind a VPN router which I have just set up. But I now cannot see the camera on the network. I'm assuming that it is because my subnet has...

I've just bought one of those, and I have yet to plug it in. The main reason for the purchase was to set up VPN on the router, so the above links will be very useful. Thanks.

    Plug In for live view

I'm a bit disturbed and frustrated trying to set up my new Starlight 5231R-ZE. After reading various threads, I installed Pale Moon browser (32 bit) and got to the point to install the plug in. My Internet Security went beserk with the following message... Threat Secured We've safely aborted...

Thanks Alastair. I'm in work at the moment so can't check, but the firmware is now reading 4.0.8 if I remember correctly. Correct that I do not get the update completed message, but camera shows up in SADP but not in a browser. I'm not familiar with ONVIF but I'll check it out when I get home.

Well I tried the CN version but with exactly the same result; I failed to get 'Device[192.0.0.128] system update completed' in spite of leaving it for over 10 minutes. The camera eventually displayed in SADP but failed to connect in a browser window. This camera does not have a factory reset...

Quick question. Assuming that it works when I try this evening. What username and password should I use to try to log on to the camera ? The old one that I used to use, or the factory default of admin / 12345 ?

Thanks Alastair. When the TFTP Log was progressing, I was hopeful it would complete. I bought the camera on Amazon, so I assumed it was an English version. But maybe not. I will try it again with the other digicap.dav file tonight and see what happens.

Still no success :( Turned off the firewall, and started running TFTP as previous. The log advanced as it should, but I never got the final "Device [192.0.0.64] system update completed!" in spite of waiting over 10 minutes. The camera shows in SADP with an IP of 192.168.1.64 but it refuses...

Thanks again for your replies and help. I'm sure I'll get there in the end. The camera is on my computer desk attached directly to the network switch (under my desk), as is my PC. So everything should be OK there. I'll try disabling the firewall while this runs to see if that helps. I...
