Default Blue Iris web interface discussion

I'll throw another wet paper towel his way. I have been so busy recently I haven't had a chance to go over the web interface and offer suggestions.

Default Blue Iris web interface discussion

I was able to reproduce this issue and attribute it to two things. Make certain in the webserver options that you uncheck "Limit Bitrate" for the encoding options for the stream you use (I unchecked all three). More than likely however you are talking about how the small live preview window...

    CPU Usage & Throttling

So as I suspected (hoped really), the BIOS had C states to disable, and additional Intel SpeedStep, and disabling these stopped the system from down-throttling the CPU. I am now able to view the web server, and BVR files, without a single hiccup. CPU only goes as high as 45%. There is one...

    CPU Usage & Throttling

Good question, will confirm that tomorrow. I bought the computer used, but since the install was very clean looking I didn't bother to wipe it.

    CPU Usage & Throttling

I've already contacted Ken and he is doing what he can to help, but this issue *could* be hardware specific, so it might be difficult to reproduce. I will check the Bios tomorrow and get the model number off the motherboard and see if anyone has had similar issues with the hardware.

    CPU Usage & Throttling

For me, the down-throttling occurs whether I use the BI machine or a different one to access the web viewer, and/or whenever I access a BVR file in the BI player or the web viewer.

    CPU Usage & Throttling

Hello folks- I am a video surveillance tech and have been using Blue Iris for a few years now. Love the program, love the flexibility. However, I'm running into a serious issue with the CPU down throttling to 47% maximum frequency, and of course, at this time, the CPU caps out at 100%. This...

UscreenCapture Filter w/ Blue Iris - max'd out framerate

So I've been using UscreenCapture Filter as a camera to monitor my system remotely via Resource Monitor, this seemed to work great in 32 bit, and once I switched to 64 bit, it also seemed to work. I have Blue Iris set to capture 2 FPS and 'automatically adjust' for FPS unchecked, and I have the...

Random CPU spiking & Missing Frames

Problem is that is how I had it before, and it was throwing up all kinds of memory hard faults. Switching to the SSD seemed to clear that up. Maybe if the secondary drive was 7200rpm and not 5400rpm, which is what I'm considering switching to.

Random CPU spiking & Missing Frames

While bench testing I did notice that messing with clips/alerts rapidly within the BI console while streaming to my phone DID seem to cause the issue, but now I cannot reproduce it, though it's too early to say since the problem sometimes didn't show for an entire hour. Repairing the database...

Random CPU spiking & Missing Frames

That was an original concern of mine so I ended up replacing the stock fan/sink with a solid aftermarket. Now the temperature sits at 63-67 degrees celsius. When it starts tacking out the temperature never goes above 73 degrees. When I ran the intel diagnostic it reported this temperature as...

Random CPU spiking & Missing Frames

So isolating cameras didn't seem to make a difference. Dropping down to any 3 cameras meant no issue. Decided to run intel's CPU diagnostic tool, passed accordingly. Thanks to their instructions I disabled Intel Speedstep (power management->Minimum Processor State -> from 5% to 100%), and for...

Random CPU spiking & Missing Frames

Thanks for the welcome and quick reply! I am using Avast and have excluded blueiris.exe, blueirisadmin.exe, blueirisservice.exe, and all clip folders. Blue Iris is the program capping out on CPU use 69-90%, leftover is system, Avast antivirus (1-3%) and Splashtop streaming (problem shows...

Random CPU spiking & Missing Frames

Hello folks, hoping you all can help me diagnose an intermittent issue with my system. I've been hitting the forums for the last couple weeks and finally decided I better just post something. I am using Blue Iris v4.0.2.3 x64 on a PC with the following specs: i7 2600 @ 3.4Ghz Sandy Bridge...
