The doorbell part is the normal two wire from the chime. You would disconnect the existing doorbell and connect the new one, assuming the chime and transformer are 16v-24v.

How did you disable IR?

You can update the firmware via the webpage too.

It needs to beep or it won’t connect. Reduce any background glare. Maybe do it after dark. Hold the phone a couple of inches away from the camera. Move it around if needed.

I have the RCA version. My firmware is V1.4.62 build 171127. Clare has v2.0.0 Build 171218. LTS has V1.4.62_171219 1/02/2018 Should I upgrade? I can't find the firmware on the RCA, Laview nor Hikvision site. :idk:

I have the RCA version and to be honest, the camera is not bad at all. Night vision is acceptable for me.

The nest doorbell won't be able to integrate with any of the other Clare solutions. That may or may not be a deal breaker for you.

I just had BI search for mine and it found it.

I had the same issue. I reset the doorbell and started over and was good to go.

As a temp solution, I have an indoor AP three feet from the doorbell and the signal strength shows medium. It works but I want it to show excellent. :)

I'm struggling as well with the wifi signal on my doorbell. I plan to get an outdoor AP to help.

It’s ok for my needs. I have a street light out front. The first two pics are Basic (low res) and the third pic is HD (1080). I lowered the res since my wifi was spotty. I'll bump it back up once I get that sorted.

My only issue is a spotty wifi signal. I need to install an outdoor access point to fix that.

Correct, Hik-Connect is the backend server for all those rebranded Hikvision Doorbell cams.

Make sure your wifi signal at the door is VERY strong as the doorbelll needs to register to "RCA" in order for the alerts to your cell to work.

Yes, if you have an nvr and the doorbell is connected to it then the nvr can record continuously if setup that way.

Hikvision, LTS, Nelly's, Clare, RCA, Laview all sell the same doorbell camera made by Hikvision for about the same price. They all use the same Hikvision phone app to manage the doorbell, with a branded skin. All of the apps have your register an account that is connected to Hik-Connect...

I would say yes since Nelly's is the exact same interface as Hikvision and RCA on the iPhone. Even the help menu on the Nelly's app uses "Hikvision" in the manual. Hikvision Link: https://www.hik-connect.com/
