I had a similar issue with my Laptop while I was running Windows 7 and it happened to be a screen resolution issue. Try manually changing your screen resolution to 1920x1080.
*Right Click on the Desktop > Choose Screen Resolution > Change Resolution to 1920x1080 > Open SADP and see if that helps.*
It does seem like they took the easy way when they designed this version of the firmware. I haven't had any major issues at this time, but another guy I was talking to said the updated firmware did not play nice with his older cameras.
Kind of a noob question, but how did changing the protocol from 'HikVision' to 'ONVIF' work like that, and does that mean he is now using the management port as an http port to configure the cameras?
To use the Intrusion Detection you have to test it a lot in a given environment. If you are drawing small boxes the 0/50/1 settings (Default) should be VERY sensitive to the point of triggering on almost anything.
