IPC-HFW4239T-ASE TrueColor - new bullet camera.

As Andy has stated: 4239T-ASE is superior in the environments where there are street lights and/or all-night-long porch lights present. It will provide you with a good full-color night image thanks to its very bright lens. But it won't work well in the very low light, especially near dark (to...

dahua starlight cams - attract bugs with ir light?

Have you considered the newly released full-color Dahua starlights since you have porch lights on all night long? Full-colors don't have IR led's built in but have enchanced low-light sensitivity. Would work great with porch lights. Unfortunately they don't come in the torrent form yet, only...

    Dahua HFW4239T-ASE review

Thanks for the pic xyvyx. It's strange that the lens is not secured in any way to prevent it from easily getting out of focus. My understanding is that the factory always applies some kind of a thread locker/torque seal substance. Looks like they "forgot" that step in your particular unit.

    Dahua HFW4239T-ASE review

Looks like the lens focus adjustment screw got loose. Wonder how easy it can be accessed in that kind of a bullet housing... Could you please take a pic of the lens once you open the camera up, if you have a chance? Thank you

Recommendation of starlight camera (better than 4MP)

Isn't it HFW4239T-ASE an even better low-light performer for the value?

Thank you wopi82! The camera is such an impressive low-light color performer, especially considering the price! Really appreciate your reviews - they're so painstakingly detailed! btw, do you have any tips for this model settings? It will be run at night in a fairly well-lit (street light +...

Open Eave Roof - bullet cameras

Completed an install of my 3 bullet cameras: 2 Dahuas and a $14 Gadinan (after $4 coupon on Aliexpress :headbang:). This kind of a roof design with gutters is quite a challenge for a proper camera install/orientation. I could of course just attach the cameras to the sides but drilling the walls...

 Are you saying these cameras are useless without a flood light?? How do you know? The model wasn't even properly tested yet and you're already proclaiming it being useless....

    Open Eave Roof

Here's a picture of the my actual roof. Mounting to the rafters or underside of the roof depending on the final positioning of the camera and dimensions of the junction box. Hmm, I don't think that box will work since it's not high enough to clear the gutters. OK, I think that's what I'm...

    Open Eave Roof

Hello everyone!!! I've purchased bullet type cameras to be installed under my open eave roof. The roof design looks similar to one in the picture. I've searched this forum and only found a couple of examples of other open eave roof installs. I'm planning on purchasing these HD junction boxes...
