While 2.01.03 is working for me, I have had flickering lines at the bottom edge of all my cameras that are in portrait mode while viewing on my iPad and iPhone ever since updating to the latest BI version 5.5.1.3.

Looks like that did it. Deleted the phone from Blue Iris and the then mobile app. After reloading the app and the phone, I am getting instant notifications again for the time being. Thanks for the suggestion. Edit Looks like issue not resolved. Still getting notification delays.

Thanks for the info. All of my 2mp and 6mp cameras have stayed between 4096 and 5888 with perfectly clear images. I kind of surprised that I'm having to adjust bit rate on this one quite a bit higher to clean the image up. I will give CBR and 8192 a try.

Will it fluctuate much under VBR? Should I use CBR to keep it at a set rate?

I had it set to VBR and the bit rate showed 2560. All my other cameras set to VBR with bit rates 4096 or 5888. Raising it up in intervals up to 20000 cleaned most of it up. I will lower it back down to a good spot

It definitely has served its purpose for me. I installed it on an interior hallway of an L-shaped house and it has enabled me to see down the length of the entire interior while away from home in case a burglar got past the seven perimeter cameras.
