    Garbage on my screen

I'm sorry my initial comment was vague. I have already done this a number of times as I added and subsequently removed weather data. This stuff remains and it's not 'clickable' . I ended up deleting the camera and setting it back up again. Thanks for the help Mike

    Garbage on my screen

That’s what I’m trying to do. I can delete the weather data by selecting and hitting the delete key. This junk won’t select.

    Garbage on my screen

I entered some weather info on Cam1 and ended up with this crap that seems to remain. I can kill my macros by clicking on them and deleting - which I have done - but not this crap. Thoughts - - Mike

    Problems with Remote Viewing

Fenderman, Samsung Migration Utility almost cloned it in 1.5 hours but errored out at 99%. I switched to Macrium which cloned it perfectly but did take substantially longer. I understand a stand-alone pc would be ideal but I don’t have a spare. Perhaps if I get this working, I’ll pick another up...

    Problems with Remote Viewing

Thanks, TonyR. I've got a busy couple of days and probably won't work on this until Monday. I did get my SSD installed over the night. It took 7 hours to clone. Wooow. Boot time went from 3-4 minutes to about 20 seconds. All's well with that part of technology anyway. Mike

    Problems with Remote Viewing

I am beginning to think this is way over my head. I'm gonna take a break and install a new 500GB Samsung SSD to divert my attention from this problem that I can't seem to fix. I don't understand why my cameras are remote viewable in Amcrest View but not on Blue Iris. I appreciate all the help...

    Problems with Remote Viewing

OK Tony, I set up the dynamic dns on my orbi as instructed in the manual. I don't see exactly what I do beyond crating as follows: Service Provider The NETGEAR DDNS on this router is currently configured to: Host Name : mikexxxxxxxxxxx.com Account/Email: mcrimmins@centurytel.net and a...

    Problems with Remote Viewing

I am away for a couple hours but last night I had no difficulty viewing locally on port 81 or 5124. 5124 was the last port that worked - for about 1 minute. Again, my ip’s for my 5 cameras and pc are static and I am not yet using a DDNS or VPN. I am sitting in a fitness center at the moment...

    Problems with Remote Viewing

Yes I can see my cams on my local system. I modified all of those 192.168.1.37 addresses in my last post to 26 (my pc). I rebooted my Orbi and reran ‘all services ports’ - no change. Is it possible that I need to make some changes in my Netgear Modem?

    Problems with Remote Viewing

Here is the Port Fwd screen on my Orbi Router. All services point to ip37 which happens to be my wife’s iPad. My PC is static on ip26. The ‘all services ports’ scan showed no open ports. Should I change all of these ip’s to 26 and modify port 80 to 81? You can tell I am a bit confused and...

    Problems with Remote Viewing

So, after screwing with this some more, I still can’t find BI remotely. I’m not sure DDNS or OpenVPN will help with this. I can see my cameras remotely with Amcrest View but not BI. I have tried disabling my windows firewall and Webroot AV. Something is blocking my access via numerous port...

    Problems with Remote Viewing

I am in the process of setting up the dynamic DDS that Netgear offers for free on my Orbi. I’m waiting for the email from them at this point. Hopefully this step will work. Confusion abounds. Mike.

    Problems with Remote Viewing

I'm new with BI but pretty good with computers. I have a PC connected to an Orbi by Cat5. I have a few wireless IP cams and a wired cam. I have a demo copy of BI running and I'm using one of my wireless cams successfully to monitor. I have the cam and my PC on a static IP on the Orbi. Local...

    Hello from NW Montana

My MB supports an mSata but if I move on to a new pc next year, the SSD probably wouldn’t be compatible. I think a SATA3 Drive would be better, and compatible to a new MB. I have a big case and plenty of available drive bays. I have a vacant SATA 6 GB/S socket available.

    Hello from NW Montana

Thanks, I’ve been looking at a 500 GB mSata SSD that would be the fountain of youth for my gray haired pc.

    Hello from NW Montana

I installed a few IP cameras a few years ago. These are Amcrest that I picked up from Amazon. My wife and I spend the warm months in Montana and the cold months in a nice relaxing, warm climate. We monitor our home with these cameras, motion detectors via Smartthings and a Nest thermostat. In...
