Thanks Andy for the "refurbished" NVR off the list. Showed up today and looked like it was brand new. The SATA, power connector, etc were unopened and the NVR was was in a reset/factory state. A+ great price Updated the FW to the latest (7/2022), popped in my drive and back up and running...

If you step down the res to 1440 you should be able to up the FPS Cheers

Is your FPS maxed at 15? If not, play with that and the i-frame interval as well :wave: Edit - I See your cam can do 2560 × 1440 (1 fps-25/30 fps) Maybe try a lower res with a higher fps/matching i-frame

Hmm, maybe I need to verify, but does the IPC-HFW5231E-Z12E work with any of the Dahua NVRs that support LPR/ANPR? Or do I need a new "ITC" cam for ANPR settings/functionality?

Wireshark is your friend in times like these... Monitor the traffic and see if the ip changes to the NVR assigned IP You may have to change you PC NIC to access it Happy flashing :)

Just to update this thread (might be useful to condense the meat of the FW flash to a separate thread?) but I recently had to flash a Lechange (same 8 port NVR) unit for my buddy to a Dahua setup and the process was a little different than when I did mine. First, my camera commands.txt needs...

Signed up for the $5 a month plan being the valuation of the item (to me) is worth it... I tracked roughly 15k plates last week on my street and helped the neighbor with a van break in with my home cams + lpr He was more than happy to see the data I have. Will ride it out until LPR tracking...

FWIW, my ivs works fine as long as smart codec is disabled and I am able to export videos just fine.. Sometimes playback in the non-extension browser mode is flaky, so I find myself using the nvr for this...

Congrats @Otown It would be interesting to find out "why" the other PC was blocking comms to the NVR and not the cams, but in the end you got it done.. Enjoy FW updates from Dahua and have fun

Hi @prince1566 Just make sure they most recent plate image is fairly new ( < 5 mins) and I would say it is working as it should. Mine has the same behavior, but new plates keep coming in... Hope this helps

Hi @prince1566 Are you able to "see" anything in the LPR viewer? My LPR Downloader always skips the import but I am able to see the newly added images, I am assuming this is due to the files "already being there" prior to importing them... Will be tough to confirm my hypothesis though as the...
