    Ok, so did a complete wipe, deactivated key, uninstalled, manually removed folders from c:/ blueiris, as well as from program files, rebooted, reinstalled, added a single camera that never recorded before. No motion detection, no schedules, just continuous recording on profile 1. Same problem...

    Wiping and reinstalling now. Yes, when trying to play from the GUI, it would just give the same error popup box. All cams are hardwired. I'll use all the suggestions when setting it up again.

    Thanks for the advice, I think that's what killed my last box. I was planning on an extra drive once I got the system up and running. I guess I can try that sooner to test it. UPDATE: no go, attached a usb drive, remapped the new folder to it, still no recording, either motion or manual.
