Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

It's an interesting use case but as Fenderman stated, it would only be a viable use case for an on-prem solution with much faster response times which we are not offering right now. -- Sam from Sentry

It is a misleading post by itself. Agreed. The context of that conversation was features coming out in 2020-Q1 so I may have meant the statement in those terms, can't remember. We have already slipped the 2020-Q1 release as we all know from other posts and the May release will not have...

Hey guys. Just jumped into IPCAMTALK today. Just to cool the flames, right now Sentry is still integrated to take only one frame per motion clip. Apologies if there was some misunderstanding from earlier/past posts. We understand all the limitations mentioned by VinAU regarding this first go...

Answer 3. Whatever you purchased will be honored. You pay the difference for the new stuff. FYI, pricing is way more simple moving forward. $x per feature per camera. You pay for exactly what you want. The price is constantly debated so do not want to share now. 4.) I'm not quite sure why...

Just spoke to marketing. Apparently a campaign was run last year for 3-year subscriptions. The form to fill out to take advantage of the program had verbiage regarding consent. I guess it was not clear. Marketing made a note to provide more clarity in the future (maybe hit a consent button...

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

There is some misunderstanding. If any legacy customers see value in the new stuff, you can try and buy like before (at different prices). However, we will maintain our commitments to anything that was purchased. So, for example, the 10-pack with person detection that expires in 2023 will be...

Hi Phil! Actually, we are probably going to miss the deadline. The BI Integration (fingers crossed) will be coming out June 1st. And correct, cloud solution still. Sam from Sentry

Hi Chris, The email has some ambiguity so apologies. Blue Iris was Sentry AI's first integration and our Blue Iris customers were our very first customers. We are very grateful and have no intentions of changing/or altering the policy for those customers (current subscription, add-ons...

Sentry Server Error 400 with newest BI 5.1.0.3

Correct. Every release after 5.1.0.2 or .3 (not sure exactly which version integrates to the new Sentry API release) will be going to the new API. Ken did not revert the integration. Sentry AI just needed to handle the load correctly, which we are now doing. -- Sam from Sentry

    On-premise version

We recently shared with BI new functionality where we can take into account the BI zones. The integration is not complete yet... but soon. So... in the future, when a user defines a zone, ie. area of interest, Sentry will now take that information into account before sending an alert. -- Sam...

How well has Sentry worked for me?

Multiple frames should be integrated with BI by 2020-Q1. FYI, the image associated with the clip list is now the frame defined by MAKE time. This happens to be the exact frame sent to Sentry. Users can now see for themselves whether Sentry made a mistake or whether the right frame was sent to...

How well has Sentry worked for me?

2019-Q4 for multiple frames. FYI, the image in the clip list from BI is now the image set by the MAKEtime. This is also the frame which is sent to Sentry for processing. Now users have instant feedback as to which frame is sent to Sentry. -- Sam from Sentry.

sentry not detecting human activity at night maybe need help with settings please

MAKE time can be brittle. Especially if doors are in the scene. I have started recommending to users to leave the MAKE time at it's default (1s) and create a Zone. I found a zone with Sentry AI is an even better combination. For example, if you have a camera on top of the garage door, often...
