    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Trying to avoid running a UPS, no room and no need for another maintenance prone item. I may go that route if all else fails. For the curious, I found what I was looking for, it's called a delay on make timer. Here is an example...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I actually tried that, but the product I tried (Bluetti EB3A) actually did not work in UPS mode with low loads. I am also trying to limit power consumption and losses. I was looking for an AC relay with variable timer/delay or something like that, very low passive loads.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

So, my DB1C has been working OK, except for the annoying "feature" where it does not automatically reconnect after a power flicker. It seems it boots faster than my routers, looks for the wifi, then gives up before the wifi is back up. The doorbell is hard connected to a transformer at the panel...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Just an update on my doorbell (DB1C). I have had issues with it reconnecting after a power outage since new. I recently changed the battery (to a slightly higher capacity), but it did not seem to change the behaviour. Basically the doorbell will reconnect (on a fixed IP) if it sees the wifi...

    A New Doorbell

Seems like Chinese luck. If you get a good one, its all aces. Mine is not as bad as Sebastian's, but it would never reconnect after a power outage. Since we get the odd power blip about once every 3 months here it was annoying to put it mildly. I thought I could replace the LiPo battery and see...

    A New Doorbell

Still hoping I did not completely kill my Ezviz DB1C (replaced the battery, now it won't boot, maybe it just needs time to charge). If I killed it, then the DH-DB-6I looks like a good bet. I am guessing this is still special order/email with Andy? I am starting to miss the dumb doorbell I...

    A New Doorbell

I'm seeing a price of 255.58 on B&H. Is that right? If so I hope that is Canadian $...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Anyone had an AD410 fail on them yet? I am seeing a concerning amount of reviews/videos with refusal to power up after 4months to 1 year...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

This is odd, so I would look at everything else. Not being condescending, but I found out through the years most times I had multiple "defective" units something else was wrong, either my measuring technique or the actual power source.

There is definitely a battery in there, I am replacing the battery in mine to see if it will fix my issue (my DB1C will not reconnect after a power outage).

I was talking about the wire connector screws, but yeah can't recall the size for certain. Had to dig in my bag of screws until I found something that matched.

Let me know how you make out with RMA request. They would not even ship me m4 screws, so I am curious to see how they deal with legit warranty replacements.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Looks like with the DB1 you get better quality/more reliable product. The video quality is a bit lower, but at least it connects, stays connected, and does not explode after the year is up (at least from comments I have seen). Wonder what corner they cut to "enhance shareholder value" on the DB1C.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Just ordered some 602030 batteries, 300mAh (looks like there is space for a little longer battery, and if i am soldering, I am upgrading!). I think the plan still is to get another doorbell when it comes back on sale, and "fix" this one and install it in a second location later on.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Thinking about returning it. I really don't want to take anything down, anchors, bracket etc. The chinese screws almost stripped on first install.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I agree the wifi is subpar on this doorbell. If you want to claim high def video add a freaking antenna. Mine is 10 feet away from the access point/router. Side shot through a wall, but still. There is a glass sidelight right in front of the door bell. Before I changed the transformer, it was...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Mine is sheltered under a porch, no direct sun, ever. Reasonable temperatures, although it does get cold. Not sure if I want to turn this in an electronics project just yet. With my luck the charging system is what is defective on my doorbell...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I do see the battery, but it looks white with yellow stripes. No helpful sticker for the battery specs like on the DB1, but they should be similar. Wonder if I could get a replacement from Aliexpress? Can't quite make out the writing on the battery picture though, is there a larger clearer pic...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Actually it will not reconnect to Wi-Fi at all on its own. Shows as "offline" until I manually reset it. Then it will accept the fixed ip address from the router. I am beginning to think something is wrong with it. I'll start looking for sales to get a new one.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I have tried it both ways (actually all combinations), it does not change the behaviour. Still no reconnect after power loss. I does give it the fixed IP now though, but I need to manually reset the doorbell (faceplate clips are getting a workout).

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Well after configuring my router to assign an fixed IP address, and unchecking DHCP (wifi)and auto assign (General) in the Network tab under advanced(tried all combinations of these, no dice), the doorbell still will not reconnect after I cut the power. I could forgive the IR light that makes my...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Yes, it seems to take the static ip through EZVIZ Studio after it is connected to wifi (with Android app). But after the power outage it will not reconnect, needs a reset. I did not reserve the IP in the router, I will do that also, maybe that is the clincher.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I tried this, and I am now on static IP. No change, still will not reconnect when I restore power after "simulated" power outage. Also the windows EZVIZ Studio seems to have less? setup options than the android app? Buggy as they come, it will not even adjust detection area for me. I can't...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I'm just looking for a way to get the camera to reconnect automaticlly after a power outage. So far, no bueno. I have to pull the faceplate and reset manually. Which is a royal pain. Does anyone have any tips to get this going? A security camera that goes offline at the slightest power blip is...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Does anyone have issues with their DB1C reconnecting after a power outage? My new doorbell transfo fixed most of my disconnect issues, but I just realized it has been offline since May 28th, which was our last power flicker. I was under the impression the doorbells reconnected automatically when...

I am wondering if that also impacts person detection. I guess i can try it and see, but it looks like it is sensitivity for image change/motion, not person detection.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Any way to set the sensitivity for human shape detection? I turned off image change detection trigger to give my SD card a break, but right now it only detects humans maybe 10ft away, edge of the porch. Ideally it could detect humans out to the parking lot 30-40ft away.

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Am I going crazy? I am using version 5.0.1.0322 of the EZVIZ app. I can't seem to find the motion alert trigger options anymore (people detection, motion detection, select motion area etc.). I swear it was there before, under a little guy walking symbol, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Did...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

I'll have to check that. A bit confusing since I have a front and side doorbell (connected) and a rear doorbell (disconnected). I'll have to see if the side was placed on the rear circuit on the chime. I definitely have a single power kit though.
