Thinking about installing some cameras on 4x4 post on the woods edge around my house also. They will be mounted about 8 ft high should I use turret or bullet style cameras. Do the same principles apply to mounting on a post as a house.
Does anyone know if the actions President Trump has put in place against China has affected the way Andy

I would like to install 4 e POE cameras around my house, they are 250', 550',150', and 80' runs. So do I need to use a ePOE switch? I would like to use the Dahua NVR5208-4ks2 which is non POE. Thanks

Been thinking about buying this PTZ, but I don't know if I'm smart enough to get it working. I would have to paint mine also, was that any problem? Thanks for your time.
Hope all is well with your PTZ and your entire system. My soffits is gray, do you think it is possible to paint the PTZ and would it have to be taking apart to do it. Thanks for your time.
The camera shot may be at about 10 degrees, Right now I'm not to concerned about reading license plates at night I would just like a good overview camera.
I think your camera has be replaced by the 5241, l'm new at this, if I can't get the camera to work correctly to read tags at night could I use it as a overview camera day and night.
After reading here all the problems with these two cameras getting them to focus at night are there any other cameras that would do a good job in daylight and I"ll forget about the tags at night.
No, I just want to see who comes in my driveway, who go's up and down our road and we have never had a package stolen from our porch or any were else the deliver drive may leave packages but if we ever do I would like to see the car and plate.
Can anyone recommend a good Dahua camera that is a good license plate reader. The area I live in has a 20 mph speed limit so that should not be a issue for the camera. Thanks for you help.
