    I've double-checked the user manual for my NVR, I'm not certain it does have a +12 V auxiliary power supply available at the alarm port, unless I've looked at the wrong unit in the manual. No problem though, your initial suggestion would work. Dahua NVR 5216-16P 4KS2E
