    Multiple TripWire Notifications on NVR5216-16P-4KS2E

I am getting (3) mobile notifications every time a trip wire event happens. Sometimes the object tripping the wire is delayed and I cannot see the object in photo. I have to use the playback to see what happened. Anyone else dealing with this? [NVR] NVR5216-16P-4KS2E [FIRMWARE]

Only able to power 4 IP cams on a switch with 90W of power. Tried multiple switches

Circling back around here on this thread I started a few months back. @fenderman called it. I just wanted to report back. It was my fault with a bad crimp on that wire causing the camera to drop after a few days. It just really threw me off since it would work for a number of days. Wanna say...

Only able to power 4 IP cams on a switch with 90W of power. Tried multiple switches

Yes I’m plugging directly into the switch to diagnose. When I recycle the power on the switch all the cameras worked for a few days until I walked into the office this morning. When the camera that is giving me issues is online i can access it directly via its IP and configure it via the web...

@fenderman @EMPIRETECANDY well looks like the issue came back even with a 120W switch. Could it be the camera? It is the exact same camera every time.

Only able to power 4 IP cams on a switch with 90W of power. Tried multiple switches

This was a extra switch I had laying around that I used as a test switch for my issue. I’ve had multiple switches tested in my scenario with the same issue. I have a managed switch because I have multiple VLAN on my network.

Only able to power 4 IP cams on a switch with 90W of power. Tried multiple switches

Thanks. Yes it was set correctly in the web admin. The first go around you got me because I defaulted it and forgot to change it back. Any ideas what else could be causing that ? Bitrate or another camera setting ?

Only able to power 4 IP cams on a switch with 90W of power. Tried multiple switches

@TL1096r I have used the Zyxel GS1900-8HP for years now with no issues and with many different PoE devices. Its a good switch for $100 and Zyxel support has been really good. (Again this all depends on what you needs are for PoE so double check the switch has enough power for your situation)...

@bp2008 @fenderman Thanks for the responses Update: I replaced the switch with a 120W Switch and have not had a issue since. Strange that 5 cameras could not be handled on a 70W switch.

I have 5 cameras plugged into a Zyxel GS1900-8HP switch (192.1.1.50 - 54) and for some reason only 4 cameras will power on even if I change in and out ports and cameras that are plugged in the switch. I have tried another switch with the same thing happening. I got my cameras from Andy and...

Dahua IP Cams change IP after NVR restart or power cycle on the cameras

I don't think that is the problem here. However I think its better to have the NVR assign IPs to the cameras because then you can directly access the cameras via a port using the NVRs IP. camera1 -->> 192.168.1.1:1080 for example

Dahua IP Cams change IP after NVR restart or power cycle on the cameras

If you do what you are suggesting here you could have cameras in two different subnets if you don't change the settings plus this would expose the IP cams to other devices on the network and internet. I thought the idea was to have all the cameras behind the NVR switch. right?
