I agree. I am using Cisco 2960-s (1Gb) switches, they are PoE, and you can get them between $50-$100 for a 24 port one. they are EOL, but it's Cisco. with VLANs etc it is pretty easy to set things up that you can use the full bandwidth instead of moving everything through a little service...

If I remember it correctly, it's 30 Ohms, but I think you'd need a "power resistor", although I used a regular resistor and that works. Ron

uid: admin, passwd is the verification code I believe. After you set it up with a phone, it's what you choose. You can update the firmware, by putting it on a blanl fat32 SD card, that way you don't have to mess with the uid/passwd stuff when changing frmware.

You can always power cycle it?

Make sure the SD card is formatted FAT32/MSDOS, not ntfs or some windows format, it won't recognize that. Then when you hold the reset button for 15-20 seconds, it should start installing the firmware from the card. I have 2 of these doorbells, (the 6003 though) and it worked for me.

That is different. All ONVIF cameras I have run onvif on 8899. I don't know what 49152 does, no it does not change. Some devices I have have a portnumber like that, but that is used for HNAP, an outdated protocol (with a ton of security flaws). I have been using the ONVIF style commands...

BTW: The doorbell has several ports, 80, 443, 8000, 9010 and 49512 I wondered if 49512 is the ONVIF port.. typically HNAP would use a port like that I have no idea what 9010 is doing and 8000 is definitely not your typical http/html port.
