custom applications, OnVIF, soap xml etc

That sound like a cool couple of projects, I like doing those kind of things too. I have an RPI that turns on/off outlets and light switches. and it does that by adjusting to the times of sunset/sunrise. So I am not using these timers that constantly need to be adjusted. So the purpose of...

custom applications, OnVIF, soap xml etc

Ah, I have been coding in C for a long while, since school, almost 40 years. Data logging I do (I built a seismograph doing that), event tracking, motion events from cameras and IR sensors, playing with that. Besides that.. I have always been involved in computing. What do you mean by...

custom applications, OnVIF, soap xml etc

thanks, I have actually been ding that for a good long while. I never tried to do anything with an Arduino, Are you building a camera yourself? I tried to use a raspberry pi, it sort of worked on the rpi, but bandwidth is an issue (I think). The interface I have is web based, which is easy...

custom applications, OnVIF, soap xml etc

Hello, is there a forum that discusses "custom applications", and how to write code, use OnVIF soap/xml etc etc? I am writing my own application, yeah it's crazy, but just because I can. The interface is web based, but the codes running are C programs that captures images, records...

    10/100 vs gigabit PoE switch

I agree. I am using Cisco 2960-s (1Gb) switches, they are PoE, and you can get them between $50-$100 for a 24 port one. they are EOL, but it's Cisco. with VLANs etc it is pretty easy to set things up that you can use the full bandwidth instead of moving everything through a little service...

cheap onvif camera, tonton: onvif storage access and motion sensing

Hello, I bought a few cheap/inexpensive tonton cameras to play with and they seem to be onvif compatible. What I like to do, through onvif, with XML and some code access the SD storage and the also see if I can do some motion detection. Is there a forum, or some examples, on how to do that...

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

Hello, I am trying to put a relay into the doorbell circuit, using the hikvision (type) doorbell. I bought an Elk 930 doorbell detector and that "mostly" works. The problem is that when the doorbell is doing "other things" like connect to something, or I pull an image from it, or when it...

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

If I remember it correctly, it's 30 Ohms, but I think you'd need a "power resistor", although I used a regular resistor and that works. Ron

    Hikvision DS-KB6003-WIP Wi-Fi Doorbell chime?

uid: admin, passwd is the verification code I believe. After you set it up with a phone, it's what you choose. You can update the firmware, by putting it on a blanl fat32 SD card, that way you don't have to mess with the uid/passwd stuff when changing frmware.

    ds-kb6003-wip with Elk-930

Hello, I am using ds-kb6003-wip doorbell with a Elk-930 doorbll ring detector, I use it to 'trigger' a relay so it works with an electronic chime, and also so the doorbell ring can be detected with a computer. The problem I have, it seems, that when the doorbell "does something" it trips the...

    ds-kb6003-wip firmware

Make sure the SD card is formatted FAT32/MSDOS, not ntfs or some windows format, it won't recognize that. Then when you hold the reset button for 15-20 seconds, it should start installing the firmware from the card. I have 2 of these doorbells, (the 6003 though) and it worked for me.

hikvision doorbell with an elk-930 ring detector

Did anyone ever use the hikvision doorbell with an elk-930 doorbell ring detector? If so, except for the detection part, how does one use the output? connect a relay to it? (does ayone have any examples? thanks, Ron

    Hikvision Doorbell Firewall issue

I tried a bunch of stuff, but I want to do it without the app and write some scripts and code. I haven't seen anything on port 8555, but some others. I did see some different ports using NMAP. Mine says "server registered" when (re)booting I did capture some traffic on a windows box...

I have been browsing through this thread,it's a very long one. Did anyone ever use this doorbell without the app or nvr? I have a linux box detecting the motion (there is an FTP setup, where one can customize the FTP settings, and the doorbell will put time stamped snapshots in a location...

    DS-KB6003-WIP API/ISAPI/CGI

The first link doesn't seem to exist, the REST-client says: http://admin:xxxx@192.168.1.xx/ISAPI/Security/webCertificate I think these doorbells might be a lot more different then their cameras. I do think that basic/digest authentication works, that is what I use to get an RTSP stream and...

    DS-KB6003-WIP API/ISAPI/CGI

    DS-KB6003-WIP API/ISAPI/CGI

That is different. All ONVIF cameras I have run onvif on 8899. I don't know what 49152 does, no it does not change. Some devices I have have a portnumber like that, but that is used for HNAP, an outdated protocol (with a ton of security flaws). I have been using the ONVIF style commands...

    DS-KB6003-WIP API/ISAPI/CGI

BTW: The doorbell has several ports, 80, 443, 8000, 9010 and 49512 I wondered if 49512 is the ONVIF port.. typically HNAP would use a port like that I have no idea what 9010 is doing and 8000 is definitely not your typical http/html port.

Hello Stewart, Yes I would still like to 'activate' ONVIF. I have a bunch of ONVIF devices, and they can easily be queried for their capabilities, functionality and the format to invoke those.. I think it is easy. For example, the ONVIF "GetCapabilities" functionality, and payload as...

    DS-KB6003-WIP API/ISAPI/CGI

Hello, does anyone here know of a document, other then the SDKs, that describe the ISAPI and/or CGI for the ds-KB6003 doorbell? I have seen a few PDFs with some ISAPI/CGI specs, for cameras, and some of the "stuff" in them works on this bell, but of course most is camera/device specific. For...
