Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

Hi all, I just wanted to give an update on this post. My problem was apparently a bad router. I kept having the same issue then suddenly I could no longer access the router at all. It had power but that was it. I added a new tp-link router today and set it's IP to 192.168.0.4 so that it...

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

No there is no etherenet port, just a micro usb port. I'll go ahead and remove the gateway IP when I'm able to get back into the cameras then.

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

The modem is a ZTE MF90. It's pretty much just a cell phone and wifi hotspot in one. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/984161/Zte-Mf90.html?page=3#manual

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

I'd say that all sounds about right :) What I'm thinking of doing is having somebody take a laptop to the location and connect it to the router to see if I can ping or have them ping the cameras or access their control panels. Maybe I can change the router's IP to .4 but then wouldn't they...

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

Yes it's a wifi router but I haven't been able to test that out because when I type in the router's IP, I get the modem's login page instead.

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

I keep thinking that the problem is that each wifi camera has a setup page like this: Static IP: 192.168.0.X Router IP: 192.168.0.1 So since the new modem also has the .1 IP then the cameras can't connect to the router since they're looking for that same .1, but then why do the wired cameras...

Wow that's very cool man. That's exactly how my system is setup.

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

No because the modem is wireless and just connect to the BI computer via wifi.

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

I agree but the weird thing then is why do the three cameras connected via ethernet to the router work fine?

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

If I had another computer connected to the router then I bet I could probably access the camera browser pages locally. I think I'm going to ask somebody to I tried but I can't ping them form that BI computer. If I had another computer connected to the router and not the modem then I bet I...

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

Yes they should all still be connected via wifi since everthing is the same as it was before I I added the cellular modem to the BI computer. Problem is that I can't even access any of the wifi cameras' control panels via the browser, even outside of BI.

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

Correct, every other camera connects via wifi. It's just odd that three cameras connected via ethernet cable are working fine even though those are still on the same network and looking for the same .1 router.

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

I can only view the three hard wired cameras that connect directly to the router.

    Unfortunately no.

That was the first thing that I tried to do but the ZTE modem does not allow it. :banghead:

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

I don't want to do that because the 17 wifi cameras are mounted on poles and hard to reach locations, etc. Also, I'm not using a new router, I added a wifi cellular modem to the network that I already had in place. Essentially I need the modem to just provide internet to my Blue iris PC so...

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

Hi wittaj, I actually do have each wifi camera with a set IP address that does not change. So each camera's address is like this 192.168.0.x but each camera has its default gateway set to 192.168.0.1 which is the address of the router. The main problem that I see is that the router and the...

Added a Wifi modem and lost all my cameras

Hello, I had a working cctv system with about 20 cameras running Blue Iris, most of them wifi in a rural area where there was no internet service. In order to access my cameras remotely I had to borrow internet by paying a remote user that installed an atenana on my property and pointed it at...

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

I have also tried to add this camera to SecuritySpy but have not been able to no matter what. Anybody had any success with SS and Hikvision doorbell?

HikVision Doorbell camera does not always appear in the Hik-Connect app.

Hi, I have my Hikvision DS-KB003-WIP camera setup and added correctly to the Hik-connect app because it works sometimes but for some reason it disappears from the list of available cameras for most of the time and it's name appears grayed out. However, if I add the camera to the app using the...

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

I was finally able to figure out the issue. I had to forward the port 554 instead of port 80. All works beautiful now. Thanks for helping me get the latest firmware Ryan :)

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

Just wanted to give you an update. I had to resort to installing a clean copy of blue iris' demo version on a local PC and the doorbell camera worked. Same settings, same everything except that my live blue iris copy runs on a remote server with ports forwarded, etc. I can access the...

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

Thanks for that link Ryan. Unfortunately I still cannot get Blueiris to display the camera. I also tried it on a friend's SecuritySpy setup and it gives me error 801 " 01/17/2019 13:08:48: Error communicating with the network device "Network camera". 4.1.5,80262,801 Failed to obtain video...

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

Ryan, I think I've tried every conceivable combination of passwords at this point. adminQEDZZL, QEDZZLadmin, webpasswordQEDZZL, QEDZZLwebpassword. It's strange because blue iris detects it and gives a detailed output of data but it simply will not display the live image. It just says...

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

You mean binding the IP to it's mac address? Yes I've done that. The ip stays the same, blue iris detects it just fine but I'm not sure if the problem is the username and password. I am using the login details that I use to get into the camera's web interface.

Hik connecting DS-KB6003-WIP Wifi Door Cam to 7616NI-E2

Hello, I just bought and set up my camera and I'm pleased with it so far. The problem I'm having is setting it up on blue iris. The camera's web interface does not allow you to change the ports because it gives a 'Save' error every time. My camera's local ip is 192.168.1.20 and my blue...

Not sure if you resolved your issue but I found out that the urls that I needed to plug into blueiris for each analog camera were: /user=admin_password=yourpassword_channel=1_stream=0.sdp /user=admin_password=yourpassword_channel=2_stream=0.sdp...

    Blue Iris and Swann DVR8-4400

The video in the troubleshooting section here is a good place to start. Get that onvif app and find your rtsp url with that. I'm going to try it as soon as I get home to see if I can get the url for my DVR. Thanks for the heads-up fenderman.

So i've logged into the dvr and searched every screen for an rstp port reference but don't see anything. Just the media port that appears on the IP setup screen of 34567.
