HikVision Doorbell camera does not always appear in the Hik-Connect app.

Hi, I have my Hikvision DS-KB003-WIP camera setup and added correctly to the Hik-connect app because it works sometimes but for some reason it disappears from the list of available cameras for most of the time and it's name appears grayed out.

However, if I add the camera to the app using the 'online device' setup step and using it's local IP such as 192.168.1.5 it now always appears as live and available in the app but then I cannot view the recorded motion alert clips or control motion alarms. etc. Just live viewing.

Apparently motion alert clips are only available when the camera appears live only as if it were added using the QR code and using the initial setup steps, etc.

So on the Hik-Connect tab of the app in the 'My device' list I see this:

  • 192.168.0.1 (this works ok for local viewing and does not play recorded video alerts)
  • (123456788)doorbell-cam (does not work at all)
Any ideas on what I need to do to make it appear in the list again as when originally setup? Thanks!
