Just getting into this... since the Program runs as a server on Windows, am I assuming right that my PC needs to be running to make it work all the time? Or is there a smarter way to make sure my Dahua cams are switching between day and night profile?

Hi Andy, I see a DMSS with version 1.31 and a DMSS HD with version 1.30. The DMSS works apparently, the DMSS HD I cant use on my phone, cause the screen doesnt resize, so I cant skip this one notification when I first start it. Any idea? Best regards Sammy

Did you just see my update? I just used an iphone from my neighbor, hooked it up to my Wifi, installed DMSS, put it all in: WORKS! So, its either my Service provider not letting through that traffic, or its indeed the Dahua backend, correct?

Well I used the standard Dahua Tripwire and drew the box. But still... sometimes I get notified and I dont see a thing happening on the screen. Maybe I should try intrusion as well then.

It goes on... I successfully set up IVS and my workaround on notification works nicely. The thing is though, also IVS detects motion where there is none. Around 5 to 10 times a day this happens and I have idea why. Any advice?

Hi guys, I am using the HDW5241H-PV-AS and I like it a lot. I want to hook up my Synology NAS to it and I successfully connected it... at least I see that it is recording on that NAS harddrive. The problem though is that through the cameras WebGUI at Tab "Playback", I can only chose "SD Card"...

I see this is an old thread but I run into the same problem, well kinda. I dont get any recordings on my Synology NAS. Is there a way to see if the cam and the NAS even connect?

That is acutally not a bad idea. Why would I need a micro SD card for that? My NAS is recording 24/7 anyways, so it seems I could get notified by the Dahua, then get on DSCam and look at the exact time, right? Sammy

I have smart codec shut off and IVS works on the camera. But... still, nothing is triggered on the Synology side (when I used MD, I instantly got an alert through the DSCam App).

I wanted to start trying this script that you mentioned. What I read in the description though is "This version was built to instead trigger Synology Surveillance Station to start a External Event recording when a configured IVS event is received. " Is that the right one? Sammy
