Yup, huge learning curve but interesting! I've been playing with an inexpensive Foscam, in the house watching the dog etc., and now I'm looking into the outdoor type for the front porch/door. Lot's of choices.... radio

Hey All, I'm looking to buy an outdoor ip type cam and the Hikvision line sure looks good. However, they are hard to find on line, where I prefer to shop! With emails to the company, reading posts on these forums, a phone call to the local sales rep, and reviews on Amazon dot com it seems...

I've been looking into Hikvision, and the reviews on Amazon look good. But after contacting HV, they tell me that Amazon is not an 'authorized reseller' and therefor will not receive any factory warranty or support. Where would 'you' buy a Hikvision ip cam? Also, I sure see a lot of chatter...
