    Have you tried other cams for this purpose? I have a 5442 varifocal or a hikvision colorvu 8mp 1/1.2 I could use for this just don’t know which one would be best.

    Mine replaced 2 cameras. I have a detached garage set back from my house in my back yard. So the wide angle covers the backyard facing the back of the house. The medium perfectly hits my where my cars are parked and the long hits the end of the drive.

    Ah, ok. They’re purchased in 21’ and all turrets. Which gui do you prefer? Does this sound like a ok deal’ I realize the T180 is newer figure not everyone likes the wide view as much as I do.

    This is what mine looked like. I unchecked the Use AI on local PC and default detection box, restarted and that seemed to do the trick.

    I have some 5442's laying around and am contemplating on getting a CK2 Plus running protect with the AI port and giving it a go. It would be a 3-4 camera max system at a camp that the family would have access to. I'm just weighing cost vs. ease of use compared to setting up a nvr system.

    I ended up checking for windows updates and it said everything was up to date. I restarted and still it errored and closed. I then unistalled every add on except yolov5 & v5 6.2. But it now seems CPAI doesn't auto start with BI (see log below) but yolov5 will start and run if I start it...

    I'm confused as to why CPAI was working then started shutting down almost instantly. I reinstalled it and it was working for a few days then I come home and it shut down again. not sure what this log is telling me and though maybe someone might be able to point me in the right direction...

    It just sucks cause since I had 4 but am up to 5 IR units I feel like I’m always replacing 1 every year now. I’m not doing that with cameras (at least not due to failure) so it be nice if the illuminators lasted as long as them even at a higher cost.

    POE camera installation - how are you guys running wires?

    My 2 favorite situations when running wires in a house. 1. Unfinished basement. 2. Accessible (duck/crawl) attic. And into the open soffits I went. If you have siding you could pop that and run wires behind. But my house is all brick so unfortunately my cameras are not at the recommended height.

    I have both UniFi protect (2-doorbells, flex and an instant) and blue iris (3 hik & 7 Andy dahua) with cpai. The UniFi ai is set it and forget it. Camera tuning seems way more straightforward compared to dahua which Thankfully for some great members here I’m getting them tuned in just fine...
