Daytime Motion Sensing (Not so sensinglier...)

Still having no luck with daytime recording.... I know it's a BI issue now. I fired up Logitech Alert and the camera itself catches EVERYTHING (camera has a memory card and does its own motion capture). I'm wondering if a sort-of-recent BI update has changed something for that model camera...

Daytime Motion Sensing (Not so sensinglier...)

*Motion highlights seem to be working now. I'm guessing object rectangles aren't showing up because object detection was turned off.... I just tested by walking out to the driveway and walking around my cars and got no recording at all, while the tree limbs are still setting off recordings...

Daytime Motion Sensing (Not so sensinglier...)

I review the video daily because we have bad neighbors that vandalize our cars, throw trash in the back of my truck, and people that they have over to their home have stolen from our garage. If I don't review the video then I don't see those things and if I don't review it daily then I have even...

Daytime Motion Sensing (Not so sensinglier...)

Also, I vaguely remember reading a post on this site a long time ago about setting up separate day/night profiles for the same camera. Doubt that will help if I can't get it to work at all in the day...

Daytime Motion Sensing (Not so sensinglier...)

I've fooled with Object detection before, but it was probably in conjunction with changing half a dozen other settings at the same time. Will try it out one option at a time this time and see what happens... Was wondering if I should/could just leave it in 'night mode' 24/7 and see if that...

Daytime Motion Sensing (Not so sensinglier...)

I had previously tweaked a LOT of settings trying to get it to work like it used to. Thought it best to start from nearly default. As soon as the wind starts blowing I'll have to mask off the tree.

Daytime Motion Sensing (Not so sensinglier...)

Everything pretty much default after deleting/re-adding the camera. No masking or zones setup. Trigger settings https://s6.postimg.io/5mtfs1zsh/Trigger.png Motion Sensor settings https://s6.postimg.io/6mjqnrey9/Motion_sensor.png Object detection settings...

Daytime Motion Sensing (Not so sensinglier...)

I'm still trying some troubleshooting steps on my own, but I have two questions at the moment. 1. A Logitech Alert 750 camera I have been using to cover my driveway has recently decided to not detect nearly anything in the daylight except for the shadow of a tree blowing in the wind... I never...

    DS-2CD2432F-IW Issue

Reset results: Successfully reset the camera. Accessed cam through browser via PoE+LAN. Set Wireless AP credentials and time settings and rotated image (The camera gets mounted upside down (long explanation). Then I removed PoE power and plugged into A/C adapter and the camera IS accessible now...

    DS-2CD2432F-IW Issue

Oh, I had to get a flashlight and a magnifying glass (I have really bad eyesight) and now realize that the steady blue light that is on when the cam is inaccessible was actually the Alarm light, not the Status light... Not sure if that's important. Do ing the reset now.

    DS-2CD2432F-IW Issue

I actually said that backwards. I currently have both set to DHCP (had it that way before taking the pics, and have now set it back that way) unfortunate timing on the pics... sorry. That brings up another curiosity. Even with both LAN and WLAN set to DHCP and IP reservations removed from the...

    DS-2CD2432F-IW Issue

Unfortunately, all my other cams are Hikvision bullet cams and did not come with A/C adaptors.

I have both LAN and WLAN set to DHCP, but they both have reserved IPs set in the router.

    DS-2CD2432F-IW Issue

Plug it in near the router with the A/C adaptor? I was putting that off because the adaptor cord is run behind some cabinets and is kind of a PITA to run. No, there was no surge protector. The plug is GFI protected but I know that's not the same thing... OK, I have it plugged in right now via...

    DS-2CD2432F-IW Issue

I'm affraid the answer may be obvious. I'm just hoping someone has a solution other than returning the camera. DS-2CD2432F-IW I bought about a month ago. I'm using it wirelessly in my kitchen (has a view of livingroom and back entry as well). Has been working well for a few weeks now, This past...

Hikvision DS-7616NI-SE/P live view failed - HCNetSDK.dll[401] no permission

I was getting this error when attempting to edit the camera settings from within iVMS (although, live stream worked for me). I finally figured out that, within iVMS, you must use the admin/Super-User login and not a user login. That solved the error for me.
