In-Wall mounting for eye-level front door camera... pin hole mount.
So, I've got my exterior cameras setup nicely on the perimeter of my residence. Naturally they all sit higher than eye level so I was thinking of mounting one at my entry way at eye level. However, with that said I do not want a huge camera at that could easily be seen and tampered with... -

Would this camera work here to get this FOV?
Ever since I had CCTV cameras I've tried to find a perfect spot for a front door camera. I've had limited success. :rolleyes: I have now thought maybe the HikVision DS-2CD2532F-I with a 2.8mm lens would be ideal. Here are photos of where I would mount the camera, and the FOV I hope to get...- Joe

cable through wall question
If I have a large amount of cables ran through a wall up I normally just cut a hole in wall like the size of an outlet box and run the cables up that way for video/power , at least on the analog systems. I installed a new HD TVI camera today on the wall opposite of the dvr...was like 5 feet up...- pal251

Hi all, I am looking for an outdoor camera with a built in microphone and that can be mounted on the side of my home (brick wall). Do you have any suggestions? PTZ would also be nice but not a requirement. Thanks.
