First, this is not a PoE camera. Second, I go to trade shows where there's small mom & pop sized companies in China selling 720P IP cameras wholesale for about $30, so yes, the price is on par with the product. They don't generally put the engineering that say Dahua or Hikvision put in their product and are typically assembled using component parts, many made to mimic the look of Hikvision or Dahua. So the risk is support, service, functionality, compatibility, quality. But for $50, the risk is low. I pickup samples at trade show and test them to see if they are suitable to sell in the U.S. as the profit potential is good but have not yet come across something that I would happy with due to immature firmware, overheating issues, poor stability.
