Awesome photo. I've come to the conclusion that anyone in the path of totality with any kind of optical zooming camera and a solar filter can take similarly breathtaking photos. How do I know? Because I did it too... And if I can do it (with zero photography experience), well...

I was lucky since my home was in the path and I didn't have to do anything other than go outside to snap pictures. That said, I can certainly understand how people get bit by the bug and end up chasing eclipses around the world. It was really a fascinating experience. I will definitely drive the 200 miles to get into the path of the one coming in 2024. By then my kids will be old enough to appreciate and remember it.

This one isn't mine (my brother actually took this photo), but it is too great to not share. Not photoshopped at all.

This was taken in Spokane, WA. which was wasn't a great show at 92% coverage. I definitely thought it would be darker. This was a frame taken from a video camera with about 8 sheets of UV protection 30% Auto Window Tint over lens.
