2024 EmpireTech Thanksgiving Day Sales& Black Friday &Christmas Sales- Winter Sales

Have been looking at Reolink PTZ cameras but thought I'd check here about the Empiretech PTZ cameras before buying.

Couldn't really find much info so a few questions:

  • Are there any Black Friday week deals on the PTZ425DB-AT? (Seems better than the Reolink RLC-823S2 - has auto zoom tracking and seems to have better Pan-Tilt tracking)
  • What's the best way to buy for those of us in Canada (Amazon.ca?)
  • Can this camera and SD card recording be used direct to router via PoE router with no NVR and iOS app (DMSS?) / PC Client?

These are far better than Reolink!

This is considered his Black Friday event and will not be cheaper on actual Black Friday.

The camera is normally $400USD and is on sale for $372USD.

You can purchase direct from him, his website or Amazon.ca.

You do not need an NVR or app. You can put in an SD card and use a web browser to access the camera and SD card.

Thanks! So the DMSS app isn't really necessary - Is it useful?

For one camera, I prefer the web browser. But others would prefer DMSS. DMSS is free so try it and see which way you prefer.

You get two or three cameras you will probably prefer DMSS instead of opening up 3 browser tabs.

After two or three cameras, you will want an NVR supporting the DMSS

Hey guys

So tempted to order one.

Ordered my first Thermal CAM, thanks Andy...hopefully I won't get much "heat" from the wife in doing so, lol Will have to see how much heat she is putting off in front of the Thermal CAM, haha.

I come here looking for the holiday list and lottery tickets and I can't believe all the tickets are gone. SMH, no email direct from andy after buying 18 cameras from him. No private messages from the community no nothing. After explaining night after night to the boss why it's necessary. After climbing through the attic to replace bad cable. After editing video of crimes in progress, squirrels being abducted by hawks. This is how you guys treat me. Ok I guess I will just get me some reolink or night owl cameras and see if that community will have a better connection with me. But in the meanwhile, I will find me some cameras from the refurb list and I will not tell you all about it. Lets gooooooooooo!
P.S = ANDY your not my friend anymore. Today at least, tommorrow, you will be my best friend.

Good luck with your sale Andy. I ordered the IPC-TPC123XB-AI S2 7MM for my Alabama critter viewing.
Just in time for Huntin' season :) Looking forward to capture some heat...TPC124X 3.5 Turret here...

Since it looks like your other thread has been removed. And I wasn't exactly sure if this was meant sarcastically....

"Thanks for showing that the camera fully recognized your 128Gb card - that really helps figure out what to do about the 256Gb card I've got coming."

Here are the specs from Dahua:

Ahh - great 512 GB! Sorry, there are always two ways to take something online I guess. Sarcasm wasn't what was meant! Just was happy that it was > 64GB - It seems that the specs I found earlier were for a slightly older model the 4A425DBNR (i.e. not the -HNY suffix). Thanks for the URL to the more appropriate specs .... downloaded and found that is the 2M version.

The model I'm looking at is the 4MB version (PTZ425DB-AT) and I just found the SD card specs which are indeed 512 Gb for it too.

My wife makes fun of me for reading the specs and manuals for everything I buy, before I buy them but it saves so much wasted $$$ and effort.

I'm sorry... Did you say your wife gives your grief for reading directions?? Whoa ;)

I see the tickets are out of stock. Are you hosting anymore for those of us who did not get in on the initial offer or are we down to just purchase based tickets?
Thanks bud!
