2332 turret has not 3mp option?

so i got what i thought was deal on a used 2332 turret.
sticker and web ui confirm model from jan 2015.

I got it's IP set and brought up the web interface, did my usual setup (10fps/10iframe etc...)
but the UI only has 720p and 1080p as options for the main stream resolution, No 3MP option!

It's a WR serial number and came with 5.2.0 on it.
I upgraded to 5.2.5, but it had no effect...

Anyone seen this before? Is there a fix?

Nevermind. Someone had previously enabled 'capture mode' at 1080p. dunno what that does, but it seems to lock out the higher rez.
dsiabled that and was able to see and select 3mp (2048x1536) in the video pane. whew, scared me...

i've been getting 'em off that big auction site, search for hikvision and select 'used' and/or 'for parts/not working'.
people often try to update them and bricked 'em, then sell 'em for whatever they can get.
so far, i haven't got one i couldn't make work one way or another...
i've got some as low as $40, and usually don't go over $60, all 3mp bullets, turrets and even 2432 cubes.

but i'm coming to realize that at that price, might as well get a new 4mp dahua for $70.

4mp and better low-light specs, plus new has less chance of stuck IR filter or needing password reset or other risks associated with used...
