Hello,
I’ve finally decided to update my 10 year old NVR and after extensive research decided that blue iris is the right choice for what i’m trying to accomplish. Ideally, I would like to run 25-30 4MP cameras running at 15 fps. For live viewing, I want to connect 2 HDMIs directly from the MOBO (using a splitter) to two TVS that will be running 24/7. For remote viewing, I will use a client to site VPN that a maximum of 3 people will be viewing at a time.
Does this build seem sufficient for what i’m trying to do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
- Intel - Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
- Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
- Inland - 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
- x3 or x4 - Western Digital - Purple 2 TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive
- EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
- MSI - MAG Z390 Tomahawk ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Heres the link to the build on PC Part Picker : System Builder - Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core - PCPartPicker
If there’s only one HDMI port on the motherboard is it ok to just use a splitter to go to two separate TVs for live viewing or will that cause lag? And does anyone use RAID10 or any other RAID array at all or is this unnecessary?
Thanks for your time!
