2732 bricked please help

Hi all,

After bricking my Hikvision 2732 I am not able to restore it back, I tried several firmware versions but none of them seem to work.
I have added the picture of the back of my camera. It seems like firmware version was 5.3.0.
I bought it back in 2015 via dhgate, contacted the seller but no response yet.
Can somebody please help me

Sounds like you attempted to load us firmware on a hacked chinese camera. What was its serial #?

I actually don’t know how to find it’s serial number, but I believe it is Chinese version as I bought it at dhgate seller from China, can somebody help me to unbrick the camera

Is it possible that you were trying the wrong firmware for your camera?
If the camera is not a CN region model, this should be for your model:

In what way did the firmware not work, and how did you attempt to install it?
If firmware of version 5.4.0 or higher is tried, you might get into the 'Catch-22 trap' of unable to update/unable to downgrade.

Given a bit more info - it should be possible to recover it.

Hi alastairstevenson,

first time I tried installing firmware version 5.4.5 from the web gui, after installing my camera got bricked, after that i tried to downgrade using the ftpdowngrade tool 5.3.0 and tried several firmware versions, for some the tool says system upgrade completed, but after 20 min still not responsive, i think it should be a chinese model as you can see in the attached picture of the back of the camera. but it says 5.3.0 on the sticker but i don't realy know if it was on that firmware version or not.
i will have another go with Hik brick-fix and downgrader tool - R0 / DS-2CD2x as you suggested

hi what version did you go to?

was your camera serial CCH?
