Just back from a work trip to China and picked up a couple of the above cameras, seller told me they work in english and demonstrated them on his phone....

Camera GUI is all chinese and can't be changed.
SN is 20170830AACH825****03 According the USA website the CH means its a grey market camera? Cant find a UK or US version of the camera.
Firmware is this V5.4.50 build 170824

Anyway to mod it to give me an english interface? I have them connected to the PC now via a POE Switch just to see if they work. Cant fault them for £22ea lol. I have them working for now and have figured out most of the settings although english would ne much handier.

Done some searching on here and found references to language mismatch? Is this something i will encounter when i get around to hooking up NVR/NAS??

Read a bit more on the forum I would look up brick fix tool v2
Chinese to English firmware
Look up all the posts Alister Has written on this subject
You will find everything you need
If you are comfortable with modifying software it should be ok
To change the language flag if not
down load the hikvision batch configuration tool that way you can modify camera settings in English

That's good advice, it's a pretty good tool.

I'm not so sure about that - I don't recognise the model number - so can't be sure if it's an R0 hardware model.
Does anyone know?

I have a same problem with this cam. This is E4 hardware model.
