3xxx is for Chinese market only
2xxx can be for international and Chinese market

More info needed if you want to know if it's Chinese or not.

Thanks for the quick info. I already bought a 3 serie. And made the firmware English.
I am in search for another one. And now i see 2 Serie everywhere.

This is a shame - as the 2CD3's are the ones that are H.265, right?

I know it's not that big of a deal but would still prefer an H.265 camera.

All the Hikvision H.265 are Chinese-market ones. If you want a H.265 camera then get one but just be aware it's plastic. If you have a Hikvision NVR then save yourself the bother and stick with a metal H.264 camera. IMO there is no benefit (and alot of downsides) getting a H.265 camera for a Hikvision NVR.

I don't plane to get an NVR - at least no time soon.

Meanwhile the industry is likely moving to H.265, and I hate to buy a camera and then BAM - a few months later what I want is available.

I DO realize something new is always coming around, but I think H.265 is a reasonably substantial improvement and I wouldn't mind getting in on it.

I wonder why they only make Chinese market ones with H.265. Maybe they're avoiding paying licensing fees that have different levels for different markets...

My 3132 cameras just arrived today. Upon closer inspection, these camera use the older build, and the lens cannot turn, so it's only a 2 axis. Still metal housing. The weather strip is a thin rubber that goes around as opposed to a rubber gasket that was used before.

As far as I know, they are still H264. Will plug one in later and see.

Looks like I need to move to the dome camera... Which ironically has more features and less expensive. There has to be a reason for that perhaps the cheaper IR illumination method?

Can you please post the link where you got it from? also does it have audio/alarm?

If you want 3-axis movement then make sure it's a DS-2CD2132F-IS 2015 model. Chinese or International, both are 3-axis. The extra features aren't worth much IMO. @JackBauer, why not get a DS-2CD2345-I if you're not planning on using an NVR?

Will do when I get home.

No audio/alarm.

I also picked up a 2135 which has H265. Not sure how I am going to use H265 as I have no equipment that records to that other than the computer. It has the option to record in H264 as well.

The build is similar to a 2132 with audio/alarm

Here's some pics of the 3132-I. There's a stupid foam that covers the inner circle LEDs, so what's exposed is the outter circle. Stupid design.

Menu is English, probably china hacked. I purchased them from AE. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Package-Sale-IP-Camera-Outdoor-Hikvision-CCTV-Camera-POE-3MP-HD-1080P-DS-2CD2132F-IS/918167_32385745402.html
Wow that looks rather ugly those ir leds... I guess this is the older model?
I have a 3132F IWS and its 3 axis...

Only downside I had to flash it my own.

I guess I am going to skip the H.265 because there is no English firmware. And not hackable...

I'm guessing cause your 3132F uses a different board for the SD slot...

2135 has h265
