This happened a while ago. But I think it highlights how well my LPR could have saved my ass if I wasn't home. This could have caused thousands of dollars in damage

The guy itinually refused to give me his liability insurance card and said my water line and meter was fine, despite not seeing it and not being a plumber...

The end the box was pushed way down but did not damage the piping, the city came and replaced the lid, but its still all a mess now though.

Fun fact, I wasn't on the phone relating to this, but actually the police for some other incident

1. Why didn't he just park on the road? Only another 10 feet to walk.

2. Why didn't he swing wide before turning in rather than trying to make a narrow entry rfom his own side that caused a radius he couldn't manage?

As for protection, the best protection might be to ask the water company to move the meter another 10 feet into your garden. You could show them the videos. Other than that, I'd have to say maybe somthing like a large concrete slab over the top to spread the weight although then the meter reader won't be happy as he probably won't be able to or be allowed to lift it.
