Yeah so you will want to stay away from the 4K cameras on the ideal 1/1.2" sensor as they do not see infrared except for the PTZs and some higher end cameras.
And those holiday lights wreak havoc on the exposure! The newer camera will be better, but it will still suffer a bit.
The 5442 (54IR) camera would be the one of choice, and as mentioned, add one either on the garage or another one.
They have two adapters that can allow you to run two cameras off one run. I use both of these.
