I see you have Version 5 GUI, must be an S3?
Ok, I missed the T.That’s the turret
3.6mm
The bullet never got and supposedly never will get the S3 update
My bullets are pretty much the same. Out to 10ft or so there is noticeable soft focus
Yes. See here for close focus distance: EmpireTech 8MP 1/1.2" CMOS Full-color Fixed-focal Warm LED Turret Security Camera IPC-Color4K-TOk, I missed the T.
Does the Turret 3.6mm suffer from the same close focus issue?
So, about 1 - 2 feet longer. I think I should be ok with the turret out front as it is mounted about a foot higher than the other cameras.Yes. See here for close focus distance: EmpireTech 8MP 1/1.2" CMOS Full-color Fixed-focal Warm LED Turret Security Camera IPC-Color4K-T
It’s ~20’ for the 3.6mm.
Yeah, way above my pay gradeAxis tends to have a more infinity focus but you are paying 5 times the Dahua.
Generally we have seen that the 8MP on 1/1.2" sensors suffer from tighter areas of focus of around 17 to 23ish feet and anything closer or further will be soft/out of focus. YMMV and subject to your eyes and monitor.

I'd be happy with that. Those awnings must cause fits with the camera's illuminationWhile I generally agree with @wittaj and @biggen , I find that past 10-12 ft my soft focus becomes very hard to discern on both my X and T
You saw the T, here’s the X.
10 ft to the front of the golf cart.

Again, I'd be ok with that. Is the illuminator on auto or manual? Not really problem for this scene.
I use it simply to get vehicle/clothing colors on the street and to cover the passageway bwteen the homes, that my neighbor is quickly making into a storage area

Bitrate is 8192. It's happening in the sky road and grassWhat is your bitrate?
From a static image I can't tell if that is noise or if it is the camera trying to resolve every blade of grass issue that I mentioned earlier.
Can you load a video clip?
