4K-X 6mm uneven focus

That’s the turret

3.6mm

The bullet never got and supposedly never will get the S3 update

My bullets are pretty much the same. Out to 10ft or so there is noticeable soft focus

Generally we have seen that the 8MP on 1/1.2" sensors suffer from tighter areas of focus of around 17 to 23ish feet and anything closer or further will be soft/out of focus. YMMV and subject to your eyes and monitor.

Axis tends to have a more infinity focus but you are paying 5 times the Dahua.

While I generally agree with @wittaj and @biggen , I find that past 10-12 ft my soft focus becomes very hard to discern on both my X and T

You saw the T, here’s the X.
10 ft to the front of the golf cart.

I'd be happy with that. Those awnings must cause fits with the camera's illumination

Not really problem for this scene.
I use it simply to get vehicle/clothing colors on the street and to cover the passageway between the homes, that my neighbor is quickly making into a storage area
About 50ft to the street

Notice you can clearly read the white letters on the green trash can left of the cart both day and night which would be maybe 13-15ft max

Boy, I'm getting a pretty noisy image with shutter set to 0 - 8.33 and max level on the illuminator

What is your bitrate?

From a static image I can't tell if that is noise or if it is the camera trying to resolve every blade of grass issue that I mentioned earlier.

Can you load a video clip?

Bitrate is 8192. It's happening in the sky road and grass
