5.3.9.14 (3/12/2021) updated 'Motion source' HTTP interface command (&trigger=1)

Ken just added a &zones= argument to the &trigger=1 'Motion source' HTTP interface command. See the screenshot below for details.

This command will cause all scheduled recording and actions to trigger per the settings in the camera's 'Alerts' tab.

The benefit of this is that you can now simulate any motion trigger event you want.
  • You no longer have to wait for (or create) a "real" event to test 'On alert' actions, etc.

Heads up...

If you use Sentry and send this command
/admin?camera=x&trigger=1&zones=z
An alert recording will start, but 'On action' events will not be triggered if a human is not in the image.

This was tripping me up in some of my tests.
